There are the journeys into the unknown and then those familiar territories we have ventured through time and time again. Sometimes the hardest ones are the ones we have travelled before. We think we know what to expect, so we become complacent, and before we know it we are not prepared for the unexpected. "I will prepare and one day my chance will come." That is one of my favorite quotes from Abraham Lincoln. It applies more often than we think. We must always look for ways to develop our talents, skill sets and look to improve our opportunities. The easy paths won't always be, but taking each one with the same passion, drive and attitude of determination will have you ready for whatever comes your way. Appreciating your blessings is nurturing them. It is being grateful by not overlooking the power within those blessings to face a challenge, to stand up for what you believe in and to attack the day! Attack it with the understanding that everything that can happen might, but with faith in who we are, what we know, how we prepared... When our chance comes we will be more than ready for it!
