Yesterday on the way home my mind was filled with the long to do list of responsibilities coming the rest of the week. I thought about the scheduling, the planning and what was the priority of each task. I thought about how I would tackle each project, how I needed to research on others, and what each completed task would look like. Then it hit me. Nowhere in that thought process and nowhere in my plans did I have the people who are around me daily willing to assist. The ones ready to learn, eager and excited to be a part of the team, ready and willing to accept the responsibility that comes with taking on a challenge. They are there. In fact, sometimes we miss them because we forget that we can't do it all alone. Sometimes we miss them because we are so focused on the negativity of the few we overlook the positive of the many. Take a quick pause and assess your surroundings. Sure you have a lot to do and chances are you'll have more today, but take inventory of those people ready, preparing, wanting and appreciating their opportunity to be a part of the plan. It's those people that understand it's not about what we think we deserve it's about what we are committed to earning.
