Have you ever been in a crowded room you have been in before and realized you don't know anyone? Have you ever been in a situation where you knew you could help, but you simply felt you had too much going on in your day you couldn't spare the time? We've all been there. Funny how that works isn't it? We are so preoccupied sometimes we completely miss everything going on around us. We miss the moments where we meet new friends, share stories, laugh at a joke, offer a helping hand, appreciate one another. We get so caught up in having more than our neighbors we completely forget to meet them sometimes. We let wanting and needing take the place of giving and sharing. Maybe if we took a step back we could appreciate our blessings a little more. We would remember the beauty of helping, encouraging, teaching, listening, caring, serving, loving and being loved... After all while we are searching for happiness often we forget that it is these very things that are essential to truly being as happy as we can possibly be.
