Be there because you want to not because you have to. How often we allow the feeling of obligation to overshadow the true blessing of helping others. How often we ignore a cry for help because we "are too busy". There is so much beauty in offering a helping hand, being a shoulder, crying with someone, laughing together, praying together. Life isn't about doing so you can get something back... It's about being blessed to give more than we take, and doing it because we appreciate what others have done for us. Sometimes it takes nothing more than to sit down and listen, to understand, to be there. We all have those moments, we all have things to do, responsibilities, deadlines... But it is the things we do outside ourselves that says we appreciate the gift and beauty of life and are blessed to share that life with others.
