Daily BITUB- "Why all the good?"

"May my cry come before You, O Lord; give me understanding according to your word." Psalm 119:169

Yesterday someone told me they didn't understand why things kept happening to them.  I think we've all had that question at times in our lives. Big life changing moments like a lost job, a death in the family, moving to another place...  Those things we move through because it's right there in our face. We know what's there, we pray about it, we work through it.  It's the subtle things, the constant little things...  A scratch on the car, a flat tire, a missed goal, oversleeping, missing the bus, forgetting a deadline, leaving something you needed at home... Those things can be the hardest to deal with as they can stack up, they come often, and always seem to come at the same time.  Leaving us asking why do things keep happening.  While it's easier said then done I challenge us all to think and ask that same question on those days when good after good things comes our way.  How often have we done that?  Sometimes it's an appreciation of those moments.  The same moments that are wonderful reminders of God's blessings on us where it all goes right, there to help us during those days when they don't. Realizing those moments, you might just see how much more good than bad really is present in your life. Leaving you thanking God for all the good that keeps happening to you.
