Sometimes you simply need the comfort of a friend. You need that person willing to tell you that things can and will be alright. You need a word of encouragement, you need affirmation that you are on the right path, and support to help you make it through the tough patches. You need a hug, a smile, a "way to go". Their words, their helping hand, their shoulder can make all the difference between chasing a dream and letting it go.
Sometimes you simply need that same friend to pull you aside and say you must get it together. You need honesty amidst confusion and trust that they will say that you are wrong when you are. While it may be difficult to want to hear, to do, to even care about their opinion it is those people in our lives that truly are the ones who refuse to allow us to go where they know we shouldn't even when we don't see it. Their words, their helping hand, their shoulder can make all the difference between chasing a dream and letting it go.
