You know everyday has its challenges. Some bigger than others. Some days you are doing good to get out of bed. Some days the words of encouragement aren't enough. Yet, prayer, faith, hope are all catalysts for starting. Focusing on the blessings is always easier said than done. I get that. Especially when it feels like there's no end in site. Maybe it's the fact we are looking for an end rather than embracing the day to day ability to start anew? Maybe our focus isn't where it should be. Maybe it's looking at the challenge as an obstacle rather than an unbelievable moment to show exactly what we do believe in. Maybe we forget that God gets us, even when we don't get Him. I've been there. In that undeniable dark place where the only light was the fire I kept putting my hand in. What I didn't see was the actual light that resonated from those flames... Where the experience allowed me to learn from the moment. Where I could use those flames to ignite the passion, desire and commitment inside to get up and fight for all those who believe in me and more importantly for all those who don't. Yes, some blessings hurt, but it's seeing God's love throughout that helps us realize if it hurts then it can heal. If it can heal that it can only make us stronger.
