Trying to get others on board with your plan? You feel like they aren't giving you what you need to make your dreams happen? You thinking this is simply to much? Don't deny yourself that feeling of success because you think it's too hard or you think others are holding you back. You think that people who excelled didn't hit a roadblock or two? I can assure you they too had late nights. They ran out of energy, lost focus, made mistakes, even considered quitting, but the differentiator was they didn't. Instead they found that determination that originally lit the fire within and they threw gasoline on it. They took all that negative energy and created positive energy. They used it to garner strength, motivation and passion. They stopped worrying about what they didn't have and got to work creating what they needed to move on, move up, move forward and win! There are no shortcuts. You want to be smarter at something then study it. You want to be healthier then make the life changes you need to make. You want to realign priorities then stop worrying what others think and do what you need to do. You want that promotion then work harder. Take control of the outcome and be willing to do what it takes to shift the burden of responsibility from everyone else to yourself. Own it and be it. The only person you have to get on board with the plan is yourself. You don't have to convince us, we already believe you can.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you find that passion within to do the things you know you can and need to do. That you follow your heart and you allow God to put His hands on your plans so that no matter the path you know with Him on it you are headed in the right direction.
Have a beautifully blessed weekend everyone.

"May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer."- Psalm 19:14
Over the years I've found myself in situations where I felt like people were doing things for me, but really it was for their own benefit. Maybe it was because of my past experiences, but to label everyone like that wasn't a fair assessment. When I opened my eyes and allowed others to do as they were called to do I found many where truly interested in offering of themselves because that's who they were and what they felt compelled to do. Life is a series of opportunities to give more than we take, to offer experiences, knowledge, to learn, to teach, to be of service. In doing that we mustn't shy away from those opportunities if we are called upon to witness God's blessings. We must do what we can to live our best life, not at the expense of others, but with the hope that maybe we make each other's lives a little better even if for a moment. We must say the things we feel, give the things we can, be pure in our interactions, and always faithful to our values understanding that God leads us if we simply give ourselves to Him so that He can... And as The Word says that we do so in that it is pleasing in the sight of The Lord.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you find the good in others and you share that good by giving of yourself in the moments that you can.
Have a blessed day.

Why do we expect it? Why do we feel like we are entitled to things? We've all done it, felt it, wanted it. Honestly we get so caught up in it sometimes we stop pushing ourselves. We even start thinking others should know exactly what we feel, want and need that we forget there are times we don't even know. We are all guilty of those assumptions. Those situations where we make a determination that we know what's best, when in actuality we haven't even taken the time to know, understand and familiarize ourselves with a person, place, or situation. It makes a difference. Think about it as you go about your day. If we all gave each other that extra moment of time to understand a little better about our influences, inspirations and motivation wouldn't we be better for it? Wouldn't we truly see who we are surrounding ourselves with? Wouldn't we get a better picture of who we are? Maybe our feeling of entitlement is changed to feelings of determination, confidence, passion. Maybe our expectations change, and the path to our goals and dreams suddenly have us all surrounded by blessings where we are all willing to help each other along the way.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you pause and reflect with God about where you are, where you are going, and why you want to be there.
Have a blessed day.

I sit often reflecting and asking myself questions about life and leadership. As I do that I get to thinking about my mentors over the years. I realize how many have inspired me in different ways. I've been blessed to have my personal, my professional, my spiritual leaders along the way, some of who have embodied all of those. Each have shaped my thinking and challenged me to focus and reinvent myself continuously. They taught me there is always room for growth, always room for feedback, always room to be better. As I've found myself more aligned with priorities I've also found myself realizing how often I've misaligned myself with what was really important. The focus of energy on the wrong things can really cloud our judgment and make us forget why we started on a certain path to begin with. Sometimes it was a path we thought we'd be on for a minute only to find ourselves on it 20 years later. During that journey though, when I questioned why and how I was here, I've experienced things that made me realize it was because God has been the ultimate mentor. He was at work in my life. In fact, He was working overtime in some moments when I wasn't willing to do the heavy lifting, and even now when I am doing my best to pick up my cross I know that he is carrying me on His shoulders so that I don't have to do it alone. God is the ultimate servant leader. He leads with a servant heart. He asks that we do as well and as we are called upon to lead... At home, at school, at work, we mustn't forget that our ability to influence is a gift and those we allow to influence us is a choice. So choose wisely. Ask yourself... Who are your mentors? Who are you growing from, growing with, and giving to? Is God at the forefront? Are you allowing Him to be? Are you a servant leader or a self serving one? Where are you and where are you wanting to go? Are you doing the things you must to get there? If you haven't reflected on that, today is as good a day as any to start.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you allow God to be a part of your life, personally and professionally, and that you begin and end each day with Him, and through Him you allow your influences and your influence to be of Him.
Have a blessed day everyone.

Perspective and perception are powerful things. Every moment gives us that opportunity to assess how we will see it. Experience, our environment, the people involved all can influence what we see and what it means to us. Yet, often we can overlook the obvious that should matter most... How we feel. What does it really mean to us? What role do we play in this moment? What is the significance? What do we see when we really look at all the pieces that make up that big picture? What perspective do we bring to this moment? I've heard perception is reality, but it is our perception that allows us to shape that reality. It is our focus on the day to day things that we deem important, necessary and crucial to our lives that matters. Everyday we will choose the way we want to begin the day, we will determine how we take it on as things happen throughout it and every night we get to assess exactly how we perceive we did. Perspective- If you are looking at life and wondering what you see, if perception is reality, then make sure you see that God, faith, the ability to live our lives, the blessings within and the many opportunities to reach our goals and dreams are always present. Always if we allow them to be. Always no matter when, where, or how if we choose to perceive it that way.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you look at yourself and life through the eyes of faith. That whatever you are facing you control how you look at, how you can influence it, and that through God you can handle it.
Have a blessed week everyone.

What and who are you praying for? Why are you praying for it? You know that right now God is already at work answering prayers before you even knew to pray for them? You know that God listens to prayers all the time. Even those unspoken ones. Sometimes we should simply remember to pray and thank Him for the things He does we don't even ask for. God is at work in our lives even when we don't realize it, but it's on us to realize it. It's on us to give glory to Him. It's on us to profess our faith, to be open about our Christian values, to spread the word and to do our best to live our best life. It's not easy, and we will stumble, we will sin, we will choose wrong, but it won't change God's unconditional love for us. Though the question is how often do we take that for granted? How often do we expect God to bail us out? As I've said before we must still do our part. We must actively participate in doing what we can to be all we can. Pray. Pray for guidance, for strength, for continued Grace, for thanks, and for that understanding that God may not answer our prayers like we want, but He will always answer them exactly as we need... And in those times we aren't sure what it is we need we must remember that sometimes our faith in God is more than enough.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer today is that you take a moment to recognize God and His influence, His Grace, and His love in your life today and every day.
Have a blessed weekend everyone.

Today I'm simply going to pause and send up prayers in remembrance of September 11th. There are still many lives affected, still hurt, still confusion, fear, and doubt. I remember I was stranded in NC on business and thinking about my family. I was wanting to be home and afraid what I would feel when I was able to fly again. I remember that because it is a reminder that we mustn't take things for granted. Since then I've taken thousands of trips. I don't think about the bad, but I do my best to embrace the opportunities to tell my wife, my kids, my family I love them. I give thanks to God I can and appreciate the many blessings that I have missed. There are no promises that tomorrow will come, but you can promise yourself that as busy as you get, as wrapped up in the days that don't go right, that when you can't see the good you take pause to remember the moments where everything was beautifully blessed. You take a moment to remember those times where everything was as you once prayed for, and that you simply tell those that matter they do, and you give all glory and praise to God for He is, and always shall be, good.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for today is for all those who are still searching for faith that they may find some peace through all of us who are praying and lending them all the faith we can as they search for theirs.
We shall never forget.
Have a blessed day all.

Have you ever been listening to someone tell you about all the things you do wrong and all you are thinking is about what they do wrong? That's a natural deflection mentality. We don't want to hear about that! We only want positive. We aren't listening! We are thinking about other things. Why is this person demotivating me? Why are they hurting me? Why can't they see they have bigger issues? Thing is if you care about someone you should be honest with them. You in turn should feel comfortable enough that they can be honest with you. We aren't perfect, but it is our imperfections that give us a goal, a peak, a push, a dream to chase. We can all be better. Sometimes we don't see it and more often than not we don't want to hear about it, but overlooking it won't change it. Listen to the feedback, embrace the opportunities, take a look at what you can capture from the moment, be sincerely grateful someone is taking time to be open with you, create the plan and then get on with it.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is you find the blessing in each opportunity to simply be better.
Have a blessed weekend everyone.

"Be intentional in your actions. Make your moments matter."- DC (Daily BITUB 2013)
We are often more intertwined in others lives than we think. We have those we can't wait to see and those we hope we don't run into. We have people we must live with and those we live for. Though, as we are blessed to experience moments with all of them we mustn't forget that those moments could be the difference in our day and theirs. Sometimes God fully intends for our paths to cross. There are people who are lessons for us to learn, those that teach us how to love, others who help us reach our potential. There are the inspirers and the challengers, the motivators and the dream stealers. All of our interactions matter in as much as we allow them to. There is good in each one if we look hard enough and if we allow ourselves to truly see it. There is energy in our actions, words, feelings in each experience. We are intertwined. We mustn't forget that God is intentional as we should be as well. You could be the blessing that person you meet today prayed for that morning, the reminder they needed to be kind to others, the smile they need, the positive energy they long for... You could be that person they can't wait to see. You could be their person that reminds them God is in their life and He is good.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you allow yourself those moments to influence and be influenced. That you do it knowing that God is in control and He intends for you to be in that moment with Him.
Have a blessed day.

It's one thing to pull it together. You've heard it before in all kind of variations. You've said it to yourself. You've heard other people tell you... Get your act together. Pull yourself together. Get it together. Yes we've all been in that moment where we felt like it was all falling apart. We were trying to hold it, but we simply couldn't. Now what? Well now we pick up the pieces. Eventually we can and will get it together. That actually is the easy part. We can go through the motions. We can "fake it until we make it", but holding it together after we've lost it is just hard. Now you've had that feeling that you've lost it before. You know that it can happen. You have doubts, fears, thoughts of that adversity, and the thoughts of what if it happens again. Thing is it can, it may very well happen again, but you are stronger. You've experienced what it felt like. You know that you can pull it all back. We often focus ourselves on all that negative energy. We focus on the bad and then we miss the good. We miss the lessons. We miss the fact that we are still here pushing ourselves. That's not faking it, that's making it! That's understanding that doubt, fear, adversity aren't the byproducts of what happened. Perseverance, determination, and faith are! There is perspective in everything and we control it. We are the navigators to the blessings that God has already laid out before us. So, if your feeling like you need to get it together, pay close attention because chances are you are more together than you realize.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you find the strength to do what you are capable of doing. You can, you have, and you are holding it together and through prayer, faith, and God's strength you will continue to.
Have a blessed day.

"One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered." Proverbs 11: 24-25
Giving of yourself is not, and never should be, an obligation. It is a privilege. Everyday we are presented with that privilege. Everyday we get to choose how we embrace, accept and use that privilege. We are blessed with countless opportunities to give of ourselves, and lest we forget it's not the capacity to which we give, but that we can and we do. Think about those moments that are ever present throughout the day. A smile for someone, the comfort of a hug, listening to someone vent, being a shoulder, lending someone your faith as they search for theirs. Big or small the opportunities are there. It's easy to want, easy to need and sometimes even easier to forget our influence in each other's lives, but realizing the beauty of being there for someone often helps us to remember all the blessings we have experienced when someone was there for us. Remember, life is an amazing and blessed gift from God. As you live it, make a conscious effort to simply give more than you take.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you are blessed to give and you find those moments to be exactly as God intended them to be.
Have a blessed day.
