We all make decisions that can impact a lot of people...  Reality is those decisions aren't always met with open arms, but confidence and conviction in choices often create foundations for others to stand on.  Doubt and confusion can rattle the most sound people, but knowledge and communication can help in understanding.  Truth is we must make choices... There is no avoiding that.  My parents always taught me, my brother and sisters to do what we felt to be right.  To trust our instincts, focus on faith and as my mom never let us forget... To always believe in ourselves as she believed in all of us.  There are amazing opportunities beyond the boundaries of doubt, limitations and fear.  Those are places that we can only achieve by our ability to want to achieve them, and we must make the choices to do so.  No one can lead us to places we don't want or think we can go.  That's all on us!  The blessings God bestows upon us along the journey are stepping stones, shoulders to cry on, helping hands, encouragement and support, but it is our recognition of those blessings that bring them to light.  So as we think of the decisions we must make today... Make them with faith and belief!  God knows where you are and thus the path you are on is exactly the one He is, and always will be, walking along with you.

When an opportunity presents itself we may jump at the chance to have it.  We may think it's our only option.  We look for signs from God as to what we should or shouldn't do... After all we have been praying that an opportunity would present itself so clearly it's the one.  Maybe though because we have been starved for opportunity we think it's the best thing out there.  Maybe we haven't really looked.  Maybe we feel it's best not to take a chance and wait for the next one... I mean what if nothing more comes our way?  The question though should be what have we have done besides waiting for the opportunity to present itself?  Shouldn't we go out and create one?  Remember God answers prayers, but it's up to us to realize our role in those answers.  What is important to us?  What sacrifices are we willing to make?  Not just for us, but for the many in our lives that rely on us to make those decisions.  There will always be opportunities... You must trust in God, trust in faith and believe that which ever opportunity you take it will be exactly the one God intended for you.

It won't always be your strength in that moment, but your resilience, perseverance and commitment to finish the task at hand is what matters.  We all grow weary.  We all tire of the fight at times. We all get pushed back, set back and feel the agony of a defeat...  But that is what creates those layers of fight!  That is what gives us the longevity needed as we get our footing and progress forward for another round!  That is what creates our memories we draw from as we venture into the unknown.  It is that feeling we get when we simply can't go on, but we do! It is the beauty of our faith leading us when all else fails.  It is the creation of a new path that God lights for us along the way.  It is the passion of a goal... It is the tears that we shed, the joy that we feel, the limitations we surpass and the realization we have brought the big picture into view!  When it's time trust that you will do what you must!  Believe that you will accomplish what you set out to accomplish!  Give yourself the confidence you deserve, and fight for the dreams you have earned the right to fight for!  Remember- You don't have to convince me...  I already believe in you.

New beginnings don't necessarily mean that we must abandon everything to start anew.  In fact, it is the lessons and the experiences that often bring us to a place where we feel we can begin a new adventure.  The ability to decipher what we need to hold on to and the things we must rid ourselves of can only come from dealing with those things that have held us back, challenged us and ultimately helped us grow. Even when it feels like you don't... You control how you face the moment.  It's all perspective.  It's how you wake up and face the day.  Your attitude, your faith, your love for life and its many twists and turns.  There may be things you can't change, even things you don't fully comprehend, but the power you have is not letting those things change you.  It's not easy to face the inevitable reality that things sometimes aren't what we imagined, but try as we might to stop some things from happening they are going to happen.  Life doesn't decide to just fit into our plan... To understand and "get" us... But it does require we get it!  We get it, take it, appreciate it and live it.  We make it fit, we adapt, we persevere and we challenge the things that challenge us!  We fight our way through the things we must to get to that place we need... That place where we may not realize it just yet, but it is exactly the place, the moment, God intends us to be.

Daily BITUB- "Listen to your blessings!"

I spent many years worrying about things I had failed at.  I hid those thoughts deep down not willing to share for fear people would think less of me.  That overwhelming fear that I would let others down.  It wasn't until I accepted my role in all of it that I began to understand what it would take to get back up.  It wasn't easy, and while I refused to talk about things God was still there listening to the things I didn't say.  What He did was open my eyes to the numerous blessings around me who had plenty to say!  In those moments those closest to you... Those that matter most are often the ones we tend to push away because they tell us what we need to hear!  They challenge us to reach our potential and help us to realize what we miss in ourselves during those moments of doubt.  They are willing to tell us the hard things and that is the true blessing.  Just pay attention and you will start to see those blessings!  They are there in many forms to coach us, hold us, let us lean on their faith, pray with us and for us...  Remember those who love us most are impossible to let down as they are the first to be there to help us back up.

Why would you tackle it all alone?  I know it's not easy to ask for help.  I know you don't want to be a burden... After all everyone has problems, and you sure don't want to add yours.  You keep praying for an answer, for help to get through the moment, asking for strength and for just a moment to catch your breath.  All the while you are telling those who ask if you are ok to just let you be... You will get through it!  Yet you are still wondering why God hasn't answered you. It's so hard to see sometimes how often He has, and even the strongest in faith forget that He always will.  We must realize that we all need support.  We all need a fan, someone to back us, give us strength, to encourage us to continue when we think we can't.  We need someone to listen, to be there and share with us back.  We all need someone to remind us of what we are capable of achieving and someone willing to push us to be better.  Think about the people in your life God has blessed you with.  Think about the ones who ask for your help... That gives you perspective sometimes.  They give you strength as they lean on your faith.  They make you realize that we all have things we need help with... We all need answered prayers.  God put you there for them and in turn they are there for you.  

You don't have to tackle it alone!

Trust in those blessings and remember just because it's not how you wanted it doesn't mean God didn't answer it exactly the way you needed it.

This is the moment!  You created it when you decided you wanted it!  Now is the time to realize all the beautiful possibilities that God has given you!

The daily opportunity to appreciate things sometimes gets overlooked.  We run so fast through our days from one deadline to the next we rarely slow down long enough to appreciate a job well done, a goal reached or even just to acknowledge our efforts up to now.  Sometimes we even miss something we have been waiting for because we are so busy pursuing the next dream we don't even realize we are standing in one we had before.  Often times if we are missing our own achievements chances are we are missing the achievements of others.   Simple things like a pat on the back, a thank you card, even just a nod of approval goes a long way.  What seems small to us can be the lift and the motivation for someone to keep their momentum and to continue their pursuits.

If it were easy then maybe it wouldn't matter as much.  If it didn't hurt then maybe it wouldn't mean so much.  If you didn't fight then maybe it wasn't something you needed. If you didn't take the time to understand it then maybe you didn't really want it. If you didn't give your all maybe it was meant to be given elsewhere. Every situation and every instance demands we respond... That we face the consequences of our decisions-good and bad. Every opportunity we are presented with can be appreciated simply by acknowledging the potential in that opportunity to make a lasting impression on it and the people with in it. We decide the moments we want to make matter and just how much.  We will put emphasis on the things we know we should.  If you are questioning that dream, finding it hard to reach that goal, looking for the answers...  Take a moment and assess where you are.  Is it YOUR dream, YOUR goal, YOUR questions you are attempting to answer?  If your heart isn't in it then no matter what you do you won't be either!  Remember, let your heart set the path, faith be your guide and God be your companion... Staying true to that you will find yourself on the exact path God intended you to travel.

Can you determine the amount of passion it will take to complete your goals?  Can you foresee the exact amount of dedication and focus it will take to achieve your dreams?  While we may have an idea there is no way to know until we are fully engaged in the moment.  If that is the case then why do we predetermine our limitations?  Why do we assume we can't even before we tried?  Why do we convince ourselves we can't do something?  It's not easy, but we have to give ourselves the opportunities we have earned!  We have earned them through trials along the journey and thus we mustn't determine anything until we are there!  Once in the moment often times we find ourselves realizing just how much something matters.  Our faith kicks in and the ability to overcom obstacles is far greater than we once thought it would be.  We encounter support from others, we find strength in experience, God's blessings become more clear, we even have a tendency to surprise ourselves when we find one more push deep within.  Remember there are no limitations that aren't set by us.  So stop setting them! Instead set goals, dream dreams, engage in living, believe in who and why you are and go find out what you are really capable of achieving!

Sometimes it's the way a situation unfolds that helps you to appreciate it.  It isn't always going to be instant.  In fact your initial reaction may be one of anger, fear, confusion, even a little guilty relief.  Then as time passes and you can truly take it all in you begin to get it.  You can see it from every angle and you look at it without the emotion.  Then it starts to take shape.  You begin to assess what it was exactly you felt and why you felt it.  You may even find that it skewed your perceptions of priority and consumed you instead of nurturing you.  So now what?  Well now it's time for you to find your way again. To take the blessings in the experience and create the next level of you.  To climb higher and to look back only to see your progression.  The necessary progression that gave you the strength, the faith and the ability to have choices today!  Nothing happens that God doesn't intend... Thus look close to find the blessings in those situations you have faced and know those blessings will be there in the moments that are still to come. Every moment helps us grow, and as our situations unfold before us so does the beauty of the opportunities that come with it...  And so we get to move forward better, wiser and blessed by the beauty of life and the ability to continue living it!

What if we all decided that today we would do it different?  Instead of frustration we would be a little more understanding.  Instead of jumping to anger we would try to take in the moment and maybe realize we missed something.  Instead of being impatient we would appreciate the slower pace and catch our breath.  Instead of saying "I can't" we shout "I will" and then we do.  Instead of making excuses we find a way.  Instead of missing someone we visit, pick up the phone or even just send a simple text to let them know we are thinking about them.  Instead of talking about our dreams we put things in motion to reach them and then we hold ourselves accountable to sticking with it.  Instead of waiting until tomorrow to say what we feel, we let those that matter to us know they do and we do it every chance we get.  Instead of talking and waiting for the right moment for a new start... We trust in faith, we take God's hand and we begin.

Someone going out of their way to encourage you, someone taking time to give when you know they can't, someone sharing their joy with you.  It may be life changing... Someone letting you in their life, someone walking out of it for all the right reasons, someone saying I love you and then showing you just how much they do.  You never know the moments, but rest assured they are present every day in the paths we cross, in the memories we make, in the people we cherish and in the opportunities God gives us to be that moment for others.

You just need a small window.  Just a little chance is all you need.  You need to be able to get that footing you used to have.  Your confidence would come back if you had one victory... You just need one thing to go your way.  I mean how much more are you expected to take?  That's a great question...  But instead let me ask you how much more will it take for you to realize just how clear all this can be?  Is all that is happening in your life worth the anguish?  Is it worth the stress?  Is it worth all the negativity and adversity?  If the answer is no then move on!  This isn't your dream!  Because if it was then no matter the challenge the answer would always be yes!  You wouldn't be looking for a break you would be looking for the next stepping stone to that destination you set long ago!  Your confidence has never wavered in those moments of determination! You know that feeling of commitment... Remember it!  When you just knew you needed it then that's when you found a way to reach it!  There was no amount of negative that wasn't offset by the light within you!   There was nothing but leap after leap of faith!  The building blocks of hope helped you reach higher and higher!  You couldn't and wouldn't settle for anything less than everything!  You just knew that the answered prayers you were looking for were embedded in all of the blessings God put in your life!  You aren't expected to take anymore, but you are privileged to take on as much as you are willing to in order to reach your dreams!
