Daily BITUB- "The Path"

You can't see the path!  Why do you let the smallest things derail you?  Why do you let the negative person influence your mood? Why do you let a bump in the road cause you to alter your path?  There are going to be things throughout the day that you come in contact with..  You can't hide from them, and try as you might you can't avoid them either.  Should it matter though?  Think about that question...  Should it matter?  Honestly it shouldn't because deep down you know you are stronger than the bumps, the twists and turns, the run-ins with negativity.  Stop trying to run around and away from those moments... They will catch up to you!  Instead slow down!  Let them surround you.  Then look around at what you may be missing.  Isn't it easy to focus on the bad? We forget who possesses the power to think the good into any situation. We forget who has time and time again persevered through the boundaries others have attempted to create!  We forget that our faith has and can carry us through these moments.  Yes... Some days are riddled with diversions, but remember they are also filled with blessings!  Blessings, that if we allow them will keep us firmly on the path even in those moments when we can't see it.

Daily BITUB- "Relationships"

Think about the many relationships that exist in our lives.  The ones that bring us joy often are the ones we should migrate to, but the relationships that create the most instability are often the ones we spend most of our energy on.  Maybe it's a sense of expectation that it will be better or that we can make it better.  Maybe we simply imagine that the hardest relationships will yield the long and lasting friendships we long for.  The let down though can be a set back you spend years recovering from, but rest assured you will recover!  Thing is every relationship brings us something.  We grow from the hard ones, we are nurtured from the good ones, but we mustn't overlook the blessings in having relationships to experience.  Every step of the way we will cross the paths that God knows we must.  It is up to us to ensure we make, take, learn, teach and give what we can and when we can to each and every relationship we will have throughout our lifetime.  Then no matter the ones we spend our energy on they will be exactly what God intended for us to when He allowed our paths to cross.  

Thank you God for my lessons and for allowing me the blessing of knowing those I know, learning from those that teach and loving those that want nothing more than to love and to be loved!

You are frustrated!  After all haven't you proven time and time again what you are capable of doing?  Haven't you shown loyalty, resilience and perseverance? Why are you having to start from scratch and show it again to people?

Why?  

     Why not?

After all haven't you proven time and time again what you are capable of doing...  Do it again!  You know you are loyal, resilient and have persevered!  You know what is in you and you know better than anyone what you are capable of achieving!  Why stop now?  Don't get caught up in the doubt of others.  Don't focus on proving you can do something for someone else.  Just be you!  There is no comfort in living up to an expectation if you aren't meeting your own.  So don't think you are starting from scratch... No!  You are simply continuing to do what you've  always done with the potential of doing it better.  That's who you are and that's what you do!  Take those blessings that God has given you and carry on!  There is still so much life yet to live!

There are always obstacles.  Things that seemingly block us from reaching the next level of our journey.  We plan, analyze, question and even ignore sometimes thinking that our time spent waiting will make the obstacle disappear.  Honestly it may for the moment, but often it presents itself when we least expect it and the preparation we had is long gone.  I've heard, seen and done it too many times.  Waited, instead of jumping into the moment and facing the obstacle full force with a plan, with faith and with the belief that through God ALL is possible!  Maybe the outcome isn't exactly as you thought, but it takes getting through it to know exactly what comes next, and whatever that next may be it's our ability to stand strong in our faith that gives us the strength to face that too!

There are countless reasons to give up.  Even more reasons to turn around and walk away.  We can convince ourselves we aren't worthy, that the dreams we have aren't worth it, that we won't ever be happy.  Yes, we are able to bring ourselves down like no one can.  That happens a lot.  Sometimes it may even seem easier to say no to ourselves then to fight for what we believe in.  In doing that we don't allow ourselves the beauty of reaching our potential.  The beauty of allowing others to see our light.  The beauty of giving back to the gift of life... Thankful to God for letting us live it.  It's hard sometimes and it will be hard again.  So why stop dreaming now?  Why lower the expectation?  Why give up on those goals?  We don't back down because it's difficult!  No, that's when we dig our feet in to that foundation we have built and push forward!  Faith knows no boundaries that we don't put upon it... That's why we close our eyes and leap!  We leap over the breaks in the path and we climb through the adversity step by step, blessing by blessing! We draw upon those that love us most, the experiences that we have nurtured into strength and the love that God has for us... Unconditional love that if we allow ourselves to have it shall be all we ever will need to stay the course, never give up, always fight for what matters and to always Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU!

Giving of yourself is not and never should be an obligation.  It is a privilege.  Everyday we are presented opportunities to give of ourselves, and lest we forget it's not the capacity to which we give, but that we can and we do.  Think about those moments that are ever present throughout the day...  A smile for someone, the comfort of a hug, listening to someone vent, being a shoulder, lending someone your faith as they search for theirs.  It's easy to want, easy to need and sometimes even easier to forget our influence in each other's lives, but realizing the beauty of being there for someone often helps us to remember all the blessings we have experienced as someone was there for us.  Remember... Sometimes you simply have to ask for it!  

You have to respect yourself and others enough to tell them what you need! You have to be willing to voice your opinions!  Speak up, speak out and value yourself enough to offer what you have to offer.  You can't know the impact of your ideas, the significance of your view, what others may need to hear... That is until you allow others to share in your perspectives.  Think of all you have faced.  Think of all the moments you have looked to others in those moments.  You have experiences too!  Experiences that can help others!  You have gifts that God has blessed you with.  You have traits, values, morals... Don't hide them!  Don't keep them locked away!  Let your light shine!  You just may be the inspiration that gives someone the foundation and the confidence to let theirs shine too.

God gives us blessings.  There isn't a day, a moment or an instance that those blessings aren't present.  They are there in the darkest of times and there in the happiest of them.  They give us a path and then they light the path with each step we take.  They are in our family, in our children, in our spouse, in friends, in challenges, in successes... They are there when we least expect it and there when we need them most.  The blessings of life don't go anywhere, but it's up to us to understand the significance of those blessings.  To cherish them always, to notice the beauty in acknowledging them even when the day goes as planned and when life is at it's greatest.  That's when appreciation of those blessings often get overlooked.  Yet that is exactly when we must say thank you to God for giving us so much joy that we remember it when we are at our limits, facing adversity and fighting our fights.

BITUB- "We Remember"

We remember...   

We remember a lot of things about that day.  Where we were, what we felt, how we made sense of it all in our mind.  We remember where our loved ones were, what they were doing, the phone calls.  We remember the coverage on TV, the commentary and all the different stories of what "really" happened.  We remember!  Then I remember the families, the firefighters, policeman, the heroes... I remember the many who came together to make a difference, the many others who were determined to influence the future by staying true to their present.  I remember the fight of many and the prayers of all!   I remember how we all pledged to be better, to love more, to live life, to appreciate our blessings, to grow, become and excel in all we do/did.  I remember believing for those who were going to find it hard to keep believing in that moment.   I... We... Remember 9/11 as a time when God carried us and our Faith in Him comforted us.  We remember, but more importantly we must continue to do all those things we said we would.  That's remembering the importance of the promises we made then and we make now to achieve the goals and dreams we still are blessed to have the opportunity to realize.

Daily BITUB- "Be it!"

So who do you want to be?  

More importantly are you deciding it or allowing others to tell you "what" you should be?  All the things that matter to you, all the places you want to go, all the things you want to accomplish make up the person you want to be!  No matter how far stretched the goal seems... No matter how wild the dream... If it matters to you then go after it!  Deep within you know what you want!  You know you need it in order to feel like you!  You know that it's the only way you will truly feel satisfied!  Will it be easy?  Probably not... But ask yourself will the regret of not trying be harder to accept?  This is where you decide just how important it is to you and if you are willing to challenge yourself to be that person you know you can be.  Remember it isn't "what" you are...  It's who you are!  Who you are with every new challenge.  Who you are as you profess your faith.  Who you are through God and His blessings.  Who you are in everything you do each and everyday.  Who you are in every aspect of life.

Daily BITUB- "Reach!"

If you lower your expectations you are doing yourself and those around you a deservice.  Don't give in to the adversity and don't shy away from the obstacles.  What's on the other side?  Honestly, it may be more challenges, maybe more push back... But there's only one way to find out!  Keep those expectations and strive for nothing less than what you are capable of achieving. The true obstacles exist within.  The doubt is real, and happens to all of us!  Trust in all the things you know and fill in the gaps with faith!  Faith that God and those that love you will be there every step of the way.  Remember it will never be about what you deserve, but rather what you are willing to earn, what you are willing to dream, what you are willing to face, and keep moving towards the goals you have set!  Those goals where the expectation is and always should be exactly where you know it can be... As high as your ability to believe you can reach!

Daily BITUB- "Make it matter!"

Today matters!  You matter!  You have so many things to offer!  Right now someone is using your light to illuminate their path!  Right now you are someone's blessing!  So why not share your experiences, your thoughts...  Why not share what you've learned and how that helped create who you are?  Tell others about the influences in your life.  Tell them about the people who have helped develop your values!  The ones who have challenged you and given you strength.  The ones who supported your dreams and encouraged you to chase them.  Tell them about the naysayers and how they simply fueled your passion.  Tell them about how you reached your limits... Then surpassed them!  Tell them about your faith, your heart, your commitment to living!  Tell them about how you are a child of God and how blessed you are to have today to love, to be loved, to live life and to show exactly what having another day means to you!  

Go ahead...  Make today and everyday matter!  Make your moments memories.

Daily BITUB- "Undeniably Certain!"

Undeniably certain that you are in the place you should be!  God assures us that we are never without the promise that He will guide us, but we must be willing to do the things necessary to impact our lives! We have a responsibility to act on our opportunities!  God places them in front of us throughout our journey, but without pushing and continuing to drive ourselves we may overlook them or worse they may pass us by!  Every instance of life is filled with potential.  The potential to excel, succeed, grow, learn, experience, care, share, love, encourage and believe!   That potential starts within.  It develops as we nurture it and it spreads as we allow ourselves to realize where we are and where we want to be!  Just as undeniably we are where God needs us to be... We are undeniably as Unbelievable as we are willing to Believe we can be!
