You can't "be" for someone if you "aren't" for you!  Take the time to develop yourself.  Read, study, learn, teach, and experience.  All the moments you are blessed to experience, all the trials, all the adversity, setbacks, successes... Take the lessons from them and be better today!  Maybe today isn't the day you change the world, but it can always be a day you don't let the world change you! Don't allow the teachable moments to get by you.  Don't let the failures deter you. Don't let the negative people create doubt in you.  Don't give up before you try!  Don't give in before you fight! Don't look past the good.  It's there in every moment, just like it's there in you.  You just have to believe in it.  You have to believe and trust that God will guide you!  You have to Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU!

How often do you spend time on questions that aren't yours to answer?  How often do you look at others thinking you want that instead of appreciating what you have?  How often do you overlook your blessings because you didn't get that one thing you wanted?  We spend so much time and energy on things that won't impact our lives as much as we think.  Think about how your priorities have changed over the years, months, even yesterday.  Put your focus where you should.  Take all that energy observing others and put it into your progression! Put it into your experiences, your journey, your spiritual, mental, and physical growth!  Put it into your dreams and commitments!  Put it into where you want to go and the steps necessary to get there!  Put it into your faith and your pursuit of happiness!  Put it into who and what matters most!  Put it into Believing in the Unbelievable that is YOU!

Daily BITUB- “Let Go”

Why are you holding yourself back? Why are you giving up before you even try?  Why are you letting doubt win?  It's ok to be afraid, but don't let that fear stop you from trying.  So what if the odds are stacked against you.  So what if you are behind schedule.  Catch up!  Overcome! Persevere! Fight the fight not yourself!  You have to earn your dream.  You have to believe in it so much that when you hit that wall you can think of nothing else but climbing it!  Think about what it's going to take.  You know what you have already.  The rest?  Have faith God will provide it for you along the way.  Through it all maybe you don't win.  Maybe you fall just short of what you expected.  Yeah, maybe.  Sometimes though, it's the fight that inspires others.  Sometimes it's the will to win that gives you the strength to go further than you ever thought possible.  Sometimes the victory was simply that you could and you did fight!  Stop holding yourself back... it's time to let yourself go!

Daily BITUB- “Refresh”

How many times do you allow yourself an opportunity to refresh your mind?  Being of clear mind sometimes helps you make sound decisions.  Moments can get away from you in the hustle of the day.  Emotions can cloud your thoughts and push you in a direction maybe you didn't intend to go.  Before you know it, you are spiraling out of control.  It happens to all of us.  So get up, take a walk, take a breath, do something to take your mind away from the task at hand.  Pray, count your blessings, gather up your strength, then go back to it.  You might be surprised at the things that maybe you missed before.  You may have different thoughts, a different approach, you may even find it wasn't as daunting as you thought.  Sometimes we just need a break from the moment in order to truly appreciate exactly what we need to make that moment matter.

Let's face it: Life can be downright scary sometimes.  The deadlines, the challenges, the workload, the responsibilities can pile up quickly.  Getting overwhelmed can happen to anyone, and sometimes it pushes us to a point where we feel if we can't do it all, why do any of it?  That's the question isn't it?  Why do any of it?  Maybe you should ask yourself, "Why do I have all these things on my plate in the first place?"  You have them because of who you are.  You have them because you have people who rely on and trust in you to get them done.  You have them because you strive to be better every day, and you know with challenges comes growth!  You have them because you've made commitments to take on tasks, to raise the bar, to motivate others, and to appreciate the blessings in having the deadlines, the challenges, the workload, the responsibilities!  Remember, God gives us what we can handle!  Sometimes what we think we can handle and what God knows we can simply may not be the same.  We have but to believe in ourselves. That's the starting point: Faith, and believing in the unbelievable possibilities of what can be!

Sometimes the wrong decision is simply not making one.  We do our best to delay the hardest ones sometimes, but until we make that first move we don't know what comes next.  Often we can't change what put us here at this crossroad.  So focus on what needs to happen next.  Where do you want to go?  What do you need to do to get there?  What will it mean when you do? Why is it important?  Who might it impact?  As you start to put those thoughts into perspective often the choice makes itself.  If you still find yourself wondering, fearful of what comes next, you must remember.  "We would not trust in ourselves, but in God... who will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope." (2 Corinthians 1:9-10)

Take the negative out of your day.  Take the drama out of the moment.  Take the worry out of your heart.  Take the fear out of your mind.  Take it out and put in down. Lay it before God.  Trust that He will handle it as it is to be handled.  Then pick up the good that comes throughout the day.  Pick up the positive that resonates from those people determined to make their moments matter.  Pick up your dreams and start chasing them.  Pick up the blessings that surround you.  Pick up the beauty of a new day and the opportunity to make it everything you need it to be.  Pick up yourself and give thanks to God.  Give thanks for this day, the moments in it, the people that make you push, pull, and live.  Give thanks for the choice to lay down what holds you back and pick up what helps you leap in faith.

Daily BITUB- "Prioritize"

There is so much to do.  Not enough hours in the day to do it though!  All that means is we must prioritize.  We must take the time in our day to focus on the biggest opportunities.  The things that can make the biggest impact.  The things that we control!  Leave what is out of your control there and move on!  Stop allowing others to dictate your next move, your dreams, your commitments.  Take what matters most in your life and put it front and center!  Put it right behind God and get on with it!  It's not that there isn't enough time in the day.  It's that we often spend it on things we shouldn't.  So take a look at what's on your agenda.  Does it move you closer to your end game?  Does it make you better?  Does it bring joy to you?  Does it strengthen your drive, open your heart, fire you up, give you purpose? If the answer is no, then you have to change it up.  If the answer is yes, then gather up your blessings and let's go!

Daily BITUB- "You Can Get Through It"

I can remember a particular moment in my life when I believed that it was a time God really did give me more than I could handle. I remember thinking there was no way I was going to get passed this moment. Then I did.  We all have been there.  We've all overcome those moments, only to find that there are many moments we feel are the biggest, baddest, hardest things we will face. That is until we face bigger ones. Every blessing in our life begins somewhere.  It may be in the darkest moments, may be in the brightest of days, may be in a smile from a friend, the comfort of our safe place, the arms of our spouse, the memory of someone we have lost, or the biggest challenge we have ever come face to face with. You just never know when a moment will push you down, but you do know the ones you've already overcome. You do know that God won't give you anything you don't need to have, even when you feel you don't. You do know that all around you are blessings in those special people you life for. You do know that another challenge may come, but just as before, whatever it is, have faith that you will get through it exactly as God intends for you to.

Daily BITUB- "Challenge"

It's funny how the things we thought were big challenges suddenly become small in the face of bigger ones. While we didn't get it at first we start to realize that it is those other challenges that conditioned us for what we must face now.  Every lesson we learned, every setback we pushed through, all the adversity, experiences, milestones, mountains, valleys contributed to who we are and what comes next! There are no real limitations.  We are capable of overcoming even the toughest moments, but we have to believe we can.  There is no room for doubt, and why should there be when you give it all to God.  The end result, no matter what it is, was exactly what it was supposed to be. The purpose of it all we may never truly know, we may never see who it impacted, we may not even know what it is preparing us for next for years to come.  It isn't for us to question, but to have faith that where we are is exactly where God intended us to be.

I am determined! I am committed! I expect to succeed! I want life and want to have no regrets, but I don't want any of those things at the expense of others. There is nothing that will be as beautiful as taking those that matter most along with you on your journey. Those people who cheer you on when things are great are the ones who will hold you up when things aren't. There will be those unwilling to face the challenges with you, but understand not everyone has the same journey, goals, dreams. Instead of pushing them away, encourage them to push forward in pursuit of their own! It's all part of the beauty of who we touch and who touches us. We must get better at being positive influences for one another. Through our willingness to push ourselves, to give others a helping hand, to stop for a second and help someone realign themselves, as so many have done for us,  we just might motivate them to do the same for others. Be influential...  Every chance you get, you should! Embrace it, cherish it and continue to move towards your dreams. Make sure you put the focus on those people who you would never dream without.

Daily BITUB- "Reality Checklist"

It's so easy to point fingers. Even easier to assign blame. After all it can't be us that's causing the issue.  It can't be us that's delaying our pursuit of happiness.  It's hard sometimes to take ownership of our own journey.  It's hard to sit and realize we've stunted our own self development.  Sometimes we have to slow down and self reflect. Looking at who we are creates the starting point to moving forward to who we want to become. We have to move our focus to the outcome of what could be, what we want to be, and assess what actually is! Go ahead and create a reality checklist. Write it down if you have to, but allow it to enable you to determine what must be done, what you need to do it, what must be fixed, and what needs a complete overhaul. We can lose sight of our long term goals as we can easily get wrapped up in the many opportunities for instant gratification. Thing is that won't last unless it is part of the long term pursuit of what really matters. You may have to give up somethings today in order to reach those wildest of dreams tomorrow. So go ahead and make that reality checklist now. Realign your priorities and recommit to your personal growth!  It won't happen on its own, and you must realize it's not about what you think you deserve it's about what you are willing to earn!  When you are willing to fight for it, commit to it, dedicate yourself to it, then it becomes more than a part of you- It is you!

This is one of my posts from a few years ago.  It popped up in my feed today as a memory and I thought I would simply repost for today's message.  God is ever present and is constantly telling us if we just pay attention. 

Daily BITUB- "09/13/2013"

Have you ever felt like it's just too much? Too many obstacles, challenges, issues.  You could handle them all if they just didn't all come at once. Why you?  Life comes at us. Sometimes at such a pace we wonder how we will catch our breath.  Guess what?  We do!  We pause.. We pray. We lean on faith. We lean on others. We catch it and move on!  God gives us the blessings necessary to build our strength so we can clear the path. Truth is, and we often forget, we have faced so much before and here we stand.  Our natural tendency is to question why, but we should never question if we can!  Take comfort in your ability and instinct to stand strong in faith and your belief. Faith-that God will never give us more than we can handle! Belief-that we can and we will get past it, and be better for it.

Daily BITUB- "Remember"

With so much happening around us it's so easy to get caught up in the negative.  It's even easier to find yourself let down, discouraged, even fearful of what could come next.  What we often miss is the good that can come out of any storm.  The people putting themselves in harm's way to help others.  The helping hands, the donations, the volunteers, the first responders, the doctors, nurses, soldiers, fire fighters, police officers, and the people who want nothing more than to do what they can.  It's evident all around us.  As we see so many rush to aid in Houston, Florida, so we saw during 9/11.  Total disregard for the self and an abundance of good.  The good that exists in all of us!  The appreciation of living life, of lending our faith when others find it hard to have their own, the prayers for strength, the remembrance that even in our darkest moments there are blessings.  The darker it gets, the easier it is to see the smallest of lights.  We have but to look.  It's there.  God is there, as He has been, as He is, as He will always be.

Prayers and strength to those affected by the many storms, and in remembrance of 9/11 and the many who lost their lives, who gave their lives and who continue to look to find their light.

Daily BITUB- "A Reason"

Sometimes life hits us head on with something we simply didn't expect.  It leaves us with fear, doubt and cries of "It wasn't supposed to be like this!"  Then we start to crumble as thing after thing starts to happen.  We want to stop this storm from gathering up strength, but we don't know how.  It can be relentless at times, but so is our ability to have faith.  It's not saying we do, it's trusting in it, believing in the power of it, and letting ourselves fall into God's healing hands.  My wife let me listen to one of her motivational podcasts by Hal Elrod and he said, "Everything happens for a reason, but it is up to us to determine what that reason will be!"  That's exactly it.  How will you take what you are given and make it matter?  How will you allow it to help others, to grow from it, to just be better by it?  Nobody gets to determine the cross they must carry, but we all get to choose just how we will.  So, what will it be?  If you want to stop the storm from gathering strength, then be stronger than it!  Give yourself a chance to do what you can and never stop fighting!  After all, you can't give up on the possibility of what can be, because too many people refuse to give up on the possibility of what they know you will be.

What's your story? Better yet, what will your success story be? How will you tell the story of you reaching your wildest dreams? What are you waiting for? Your dreams are there waiting to be pursued! No matter how hard or far out they seem, focus on the blessings within to help get you there. The greatest of achievements didn't have "what  if" as part of the plan, they have "why not"! Remember it's ok to have fear, but don't allow that fear to hold you back. Passion, dedication, commitment: these aren't just words when you believe in your journey! These are testimonials, promises, faith that can and should be what you arm yourself with while chasing those dreams! They are parts of foundations, character and the difference between "I would have" and "I did"! Regret is missed opportunity. It's excuses and limitations. Wherever you are in this life, right now in this moment, don't regret what could have been. Instead become a part of the success story that can and should be you! What do you want to happen next? What do you need to happen next? Have you even asked yourself those questions lately? Sometimes you have to, and you may be surprised by your answers! You may find that you have been stagnant because you simply haven't pushed yourself enough to get where you want to be. Transforming yourself into what you truly are capable of isn't ever going to be an easy route. It will take commitment, dedication and focus to make the changes you may need to make. For some it is a tweak in their lives, and for others it may be a complete overhaul. Either way, recognizing what you are searching for is setting the foundation for growth to get there. Remember that our biggest blessings started somewhere! Sometimes they started so small there was no way we could have realized the potential of them in our lives. That is, until they became an essential part of who and why we are. Challenge yourself daily! Motivate yourself by setting higher standards! Inspire yourself by your experiences and your past achievements! Give yourself daily feedback! Be open and honest with areas that you want to better in! Thank yourself and reward yourself for the "wins" you achieve! Most of all, give thanks to God for the opportunities you have every day to make this day the moment that set you on the path to becoming everything you knew you could be!

When the plan comes together it's easy to overlook how good life is.  It's in that instant when things change that we often are quick to question everything and anything that is presented to us that we feel isn't what we asked for. That beauty that existed is long forgotten and the path we have been so blessed to travel seems as if we are now wandering aimlessly.  Close your eyes and reflect a moment.  You'll see it. You'll remember how you came to this place in your life. Think of and hold tight to all the extraordinary things that created your strength. Use it to reinvent the hope of a better tomorrow and stand upon the faith you often have leaned upon. Keep moving forward and trust that it is the right path. Before long when it all comes together again, and it will, be sure you slow down long enough this time to appreciate it and thank God for the beauty of life and the everlasting blessings within it.

Daily BITUB- "Turning Point"

We all reach a turning point in our lives. That moment when we come face to face with decisions we may have pushed off time and time again.  Then we are pushed back into a corner where we have no choice but to push forward and through whatever has been placed before us. The most amazing thing about that corner is realizing how many people are with you ready to hold you up, support you, and encourage you!  They have been there all along, but it's easy to overlook them when you are blinded by things that you thought mattered instead of focusing on the people that really do.  Once you come to a turning point things become much clearer.  Priorities change, life takes on more meaning, and faith becomes more of a way of life instead of something you just talk about.  You tend to call on God a little more and find that He is always listening even when you don't say a word.  We all come to that turning point in our lives, but it's up to us to determine what that means and truly believe that even in our darkest moments there are blessings.
