How many times have you just wanted to help someone? You knew they were hurting, struggling, and afraid to ask for help. Often we find ourselves in situations that leave us feeling helpless. Maybe someone needs money, but you are struggling too. Maybe they need help at work, but you are behind yourself. Maybe they are down and your words of encouragement simply aren't helping. It happens often. It happens to us! What we often miss is our ability to offer up prayer for them. To give them our undivided thoughts as we sit and talk to God and ask for any comfort, peace, guidance He can bring to them. I know many people might not believe in prayer, but I have witnessed just how powerful it can be. I have seen people instantly feel comforted knowing someone is praying for them and with them. Never underestimate it, and don't be so quick to determine that God didn't answer those prayers. For as I've said often, just because He didn't answer as you, or they, wanted doesn't mean He didn't answer them as needed. So, you may not be in a position to do anything but pray for someone. Often times that is exactly the position God had intended for you to be in all along.
