Have you ever been caught up in extreme situations? Over the years I have found myself in places that created extreme emotions. Some of it was self created, but all of it was on me as to how I handled it. Sometimes I couldn't stop myself from spiraling. It was overwhelming to go from one state of mind to an entirely different one in a matter of minutes, but it happens. It will happen again. It is draining even for the most spiritual and faithful of minds. It has taken years to realize that slowing down and reflecting on the situation helps to control the emotions wrapped up in those extremes, and then clarity can follow. That clarity often has me finding comfort in prayer. Asking God for balance... To be firm yet empathetic. To be patient, but not complacent. To not want too much, but not expect too little. To give me the perspective needed to see what exactly that balance in those situations we all face should be. It's an understanding that God can answer prayers in many ways, but He can't do it without our faith, our strength and our ability to accept the way He answers them. It is embracing and understanding what we want and what God knows we need may not be as we envision it. We must hold tight and trust that whatever extreme we are at, God will be there with us through it all... And through Him we will always find our balance.
Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you find comfort in knowing God is ever present. No matter where you are, He is there. If you lose your footing, simply reach out your hand and He will steady you.
