Daily BITUB- “Self Worth”

In the book, "Lead Like Jesus", I read that we "mustn't allow our self worth to be up for grabs." I thought about that long and hard. How we often let people define what success looks like for us. We allow other's ideas of limits to invade our mind and create limitations that hold us back from reaching our potential. We let others lower expectations and we refuse to raise the bar worried what that may do to those around us. Never thinking if we raised that bar it may encourage others to push themselves to new heights. We sometimes hold back our ideas afraid we may be looked at differently, or worse be right, and offend the norm. God intends for us to use all of us in our pursuit of life's full potential. What are we doing with the resources He has provided for us? Resources such as our talents, gifts, experiences, faith. Are we putting all of the things that matter to us aside concerned that we may be treated differently? So, what if we are treated different? God is our audience in all things. He is the one we will answer to. I thought, in a literal since, that as God watches "The David Show" what does He think? What is He seeing? Am I more concerned about what others think, or putting what I know I can be, do, become out there knowing at some point I will stand before God and answer only to Him.

My worth?

It isn't up for grabs as I know God already has me firm within His grasp. That is all the worth we should ever need.

Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is simply that you stop letting others views of success and worth dictate yours. In God's eyes we are all worthy for we are all His children.

Have a blessed, safe, and healthy day everyone.
