Yet they danced anyway!  Yes!  That's passion!  That's conviction and commitment to doing what you can, even when others can't see your vision or hear your plan.  Let your passion take over! Let your belief overpower your doubt and the ones who can't see that path!  Help them see it by not being willing to waver!  Stay the course, push through limitations, fight adversity and give your dreams a chance! Your ability to fulfill your vision will not be easy, but if it matters to you then it will surely be worth it once you do! Use your strengths, ask for help along the way, have faith in God and His blessings, and go after it! So, maybe everyone doesn't hear the music, but sometimes only you need to in order to ignite the passion in others so that we may all dance!

Sure, there is negative all around us.  Yes, there are naysayers.  Yes, there are people who discourage, challenge, push when you pull, disagree just to disagree. There is no shortage of the bad that can be, but putting your focus on those things isn't going to help you, is it?  Think about the smiles, the hugs, the words of encouragement you get on a daily basis.  Think about the people standing alongside you to push together!  Think about the ones willing to fight to help you reach your dreams, just as hard as they fight for their own.  Think about those who want nothing more than to help, to give, to be a part of the positive in your life.  Yes, there is also an abundance of good!   I've told many people that it's not that I don't notice the negative that is beyond me, it's that I choose to focus on the positive that surrounds me.  After all, it's those blessings that God provides that motivate us, that drive us, that give us the strength to do and be more day in and day out.  So yes, there is negative. Today I challenge you to be your blessings and be a part of the beauty in being positive for yourself and for others!

Daily BITUB- "The Destination"

The destination is important, but it's the journey that creates an understanding of just how important it truly will be.  As we move forward on that journey, the destination may even change, just as we do. Growing into the person you want to be along the way, you will find your expectations, thoughts, character and abilities evolve within that journey.  Experience gives you perspective and helps you to see that what you thought you wanted may not be the same as time passes. You start to understand more of the needs in life that far out-weigh the wants.  The limitations of what you thought you could be no longer exist because you have surpassed those time and time again, becoming more than even you could have imagined.  As you come to the crossroads in life have faith!  Whatever you choose as your path, no matter how much it changes, the constant will always be you and your ability to be you!  Remember we get to decide how we face tomorrow!  We get to think the good or bad into any situation! We get to ask God why or thank Him for giving us the faith to carry on! We get to determine what will matter and what won't!  As I have said before, the journey is long. You have to want it!  I mean really want it!  You have to plan, prepare and then execute! You have to push yourself past the easy if you want to achieve the hard!  You have to foresee what is around the corner so you can be ready to do what needs to be done. Remember - the ones who pave the road, who raise the bar, who set the standards do so because they are ahead of the limitations that others will set once they finally get there. Don't settle for anything less than what you need to fill your heart! Take the steps necessary to move forward and never accept anything less than what you set yourself out to achieve. Be accountable and own it! You can transform yourself into whatever you want! Use the foundations you are building to jump forward, to trust yourself, and to believe that you are, you will, and you can be everything you ever dreamed of being!

If you care then show it!  If it bothers you then tell them it does.  If you need help then be strong enough to ask for it.  If you need them to trust you make sure they can.  If you need prayer then pray.  If you need guidance be willing to follow. If you need love then allow yourself to be loved, and always love back!  If you need honesty, start by telling yourself everything.   If you need encouragement then look at your past success. If you need confidence then look at how far you've come. If you need to overcome the dark then let your light shine.  If you want more then dedicate and commit yourself to it!  If you are lost then you must be willing to let God find you... I assure you He is always there!  If you need to believe in you,  remember you never have to convince us- We already do!

You sometimes can't help but wonder how you got here. You think of the choices you've made, the times when things were so bad you just knew you couldn't make it.  Then out of nowhere God put people in your path.  Some of those people caused hurt, but taught you lessons.  Some people picked you up and helped you grow.  Some came in for a moment, but left lasting impressions.  Some motivated you to be more, to push more, to give more simply by being themselves. Some found their way into your heart and have walked alongside you every step of the way since.  There are so many people that influence us, both good and bad.  So many who encourage us to live up to our expectations, and others who challenge us to surpass theirs.  Today, I simply say thank you to everyone who gives me the blessing of being a part of who I am and who I work at every day to be. My parents filled my heart with passion. I honor them by filling my life with belief.  Belief that God is great, that He is ever present, and that faith is believing when it is impossible to believe.  Think about what matters and chances are you'll realize who matters. There are things happening right now at this moment we don't even realize.  Those influences that shape our day, our year, our lives. It's in our children, spouse, friends, family, coworkers.  Think about what you'll do today.  Think about where you are and where you want to go. Our actions, our choices, our place in life reflect countless lessons. So wherever you want to go, go!  Whatever you want to do, do!  Whoever you want to be, be!  After all, our pursuit of happiness, our commitment to reaching higher, our very existence creates influences we may not even realize, just as others have and continue to influence us.

If you get your chance today will you be ready?  It's not enough to just say you are.  You must be in constant development.  Study more if you have to.  Work harder if you have to.  Stay later, get up earlier, push yourself, motivate your mind by being committed to reaching your goals.  Then, you have to believe!  You have to believe in yourself, in your mission, in your moments, and that you can do more, be more, give more!  Be resilient and be confident that no matter what comes today you will be ok.  You will not be alone.  You have supporters, you have knowledge, you have experience, and you have faith!  Faith that God is with you every step of the journey! It never should cease to amaze how many opportunities we get to evolve, to grow, and to express who we are. We are faced with moment after moment where we are called upon to step up or to step aside.  What we choose is up to us.  What we do in those situations is up to us.  What we feel, what we allow to influence us, what we put into it is up to US!  Strength derives from many areas and to each their own. It is what we, as individuals, perceive as important and what we focus on that matters. We are empowered to be whatever we want to be.  We are empowered to push ourselves and not settle!  We are empowered to reach for those amazing moments, for those wildest dreams, for those goals we once thought impossible. We are empowered to be our blessings and use our abilities to take on each and every challenge, obstacle, situations of adversity, and attack life!  Attack it, fight for it, live it, be it, and seek the endless possibilities that exist within us all! Take a deep breath.  

Get your footing.  It's going to be ok.  In fact, it's probably going to be better.  Why?  Well, why not?  The thing is, you can look at a situation and find everything negative about it if you really want to, or you can make the decision to find the positive. You can take the moment and learn from it.  You can give yourself a foundation for the next adventure.  You can grow from it, and you can build up the strength to push yourself forward...  If you really want to. That's what's so great about living.  Standing at that crossroad, we get to choose if we will give in to the dark or fight for the light.  We get to give ourselves a starting point for our next achievement, our next success story, our next blessing. We are in control of our emotions and we set the tone for how we will deal with the events that challenge us.

Here you are. You have done all the right things. You did what you were taught. Every experience, every success and failure has created this moment. Yet still, set back after set back!  Sometimes you think maybe you want to be defeated. You think it would be easier than having to carry on into the unknown. After all you are fighting a losing battle right?  Maybe you are still deciding. Maybe you are in the throws of that battle right now. Maybe you were defeated before you even started because you didn't believe you could tackle the challenge.  There are always going to be a lot of maybes. There is a real truth in understanding that everything that can be won can also be lost. God gives us the ability to do whatever we so choose. It's one of His many gifts to us.  One though, often forgotten, is the choice to truly be a part of the beauty of real faith and the tests that come from having it!  The realization that it is one thing to say you have it and another to live it! That type of faith lies within YOU to push through and not be content with accepting or backing down to the fear of the outcome. That fear can change the course of your life, and the real journey of who you truly are begins when you find the ability and strength within you to trust your faith and lean on it to continue the fight!

So, what are you worth?  How high are you placing that bar?  Are you holding yourself accountable to the standards, values, and expectations you should be?  It's up to you!  Don't let others determine your worth!  No one knows you like you do!  You know what matters and you know the life you want and need to be leading!  Lacking the confidence?  Self confidence begins with the "self"... Not somewhere else! It is looking at who you are, appreciating it, realizing your goals and dreams and then chasing them down!  Remember it will never be about what we deserve, but what we earn!  It's about what we strive to achieve and our ability to take ownership of the steps necessary to achieve it!

Daily BITUB- "A Blessing"

You know everyday has its challenges.  Some bigger than others. Focusing on the blessings is easier said than done sometimes.  I get that.  Especially when it feels like there's no end in site.  Maybe it's the fact we are looking for an end rather than embracing the day to day ability to start anew? Maybe our focus isn't where it should be. Maybe it's looking at the challenge as an obstacle rather than an unbelievable moment to show exactly what we do believe in! Maybe we forget that God gets us, even when we think we don't get Him.  I've been there. In that undeniable dark place where the only light was the fire I kept putting my hand in.  What I didn't see was the actual light that resonated from those flames. Where the experience allowed me to learn from the moment to use that fire instead to ignite the passion, desire and commitment inside to get up and fight for all those who believed in me and more importantly for all those who didn't!  Yes, some moments hurt, but seeing God's love throughout helps us realize if it hurts then it can heal!  If it can heal that it can only make us stronger!  If it makes us stronger then it is, and always will be, a blessing.

Every chance you get, you should! 

We often think of all the reasons we shouldn't do something.  Why not focus on the reasons, the beauty, the opportunity of why we should? Sometimes it's undeniable. Sometimes it's subtle.  Sometimes it's in a smile or hand shake. Sometimes it's just a look from across a crowded room.  Sometimes it's in a flurry of activity and sometimes it's when nothing is happening at all.  Sometimes it's in a hug, helping hand, a shoulder to cry on. Sometimes it's in laughter and sometimes it's in the tears. Sometimes it's in a kind word or a happy thought. Sometimes it's in a prayer when no one but God is listening.  Sometimes it's in our first thought, and sometimes it's in our last one.  Sometimes it's the only way we can keep moving. Sometimes it's the only reason we do.  Sometimes it's in the memory of a moment. Sometimes it is the moment.  Sometimes it's believing when it seems impossible to believe and sometimes it's the only way we know how to believe.  Sometimes it's because we can, we will, and we have!  Sometimes it's because we know God loves us and we trust and have faith in His way.

Sometimes it's simply because someone Believes in the Unbelievable in YOU.

How often do we chase dreams that aren't ours?  How often do we look to experience moments that don't belong to us?  We want that and we are very convincing sometimes that the grass is greener over there!  We sometimes even push ourselves into other people's dreams and abandon our own.  At some point though we come to realize that we miss our dream.  We start to regret, to question, and to give in to the notion that where we are is where we have to be.  There is no perfect time to start your journey towards what matters most to you.  There are no limitations that aren't self inflicted.  There is no boundary, no wall, no obstacle we can't overcome if we truly want to overcome it!  First things first...  Take a look at where you are.  Look at the beauty of the green grass you are already standing on and use it to motivate, to inspire, to reassure you that you already have blessings in your life.  Those blessings that God has given you through your supporters, your faith, and your ability to start chasing your dream today.

People change our lives. Some good and some, well, not so good. You know though, we have all loved and lost. We have all put all of ourselves in to something and not had it returned.  We have all overlooked a good thing.  We have all taken something and someone for granted.  We have all wondered if we said enough, did enough, listened enough.  We even think about those that have passed. Were we there for them? Did they know what they meant?  Regardless of what was, people do change lives, and we have all changed and influenced someone's at some point.  Today think about the influence you've already made today! Every day we get another opportunity, and it's never too late. Never too late to thank, miss, need and love.  Never too late to pray for those here and those gone as prayers are always heard. Never too late to appreciate who we have in life, and more importantly treat them like you know exactly how beautiful a gift from God they are.  Yes, never too late to be someone blessed by the influence we possess and grateful for the privilege of changing as many lives as we can touch.
