Stop taking shortcuts.  It's not you!  It's not what gives you the strength you need for what comes next.  It's not the preparation you wanted for the task!  It's a privilege to take the path nobody else will take.  Sometimes it's hard to see, but once you do you begin to understand it! You see the trials were there to give you experience, the adversity was to build character, the setbacks allowed you to refocus, the wrong turns let you realign your priorities.  All of it matters in as much as you allow it to matter!  There are no shortcuts to the wildest of dreams!  There is no better feeling than knowing you pushed, you overcame, you fought through the struggles and accomplished what even you thought you couldn't at one point.  Dreams don't work unless you do!  Mountains don't get climbed by themselves!  Commitments aren't met without passion, desire, and dedication.  Shortcut?  No, you tell them you are going to be blessed...  Blessed to take the long way around!

Inside of all of us is the desire to find our true calling.  We all have a purpose. Sometimes we overlook it.  Sometimes it happens when we least expect it. Sometimes it happens and we don't even know it is happening. Think of your place.  Think about your influence. Think about why you are, who you live for, and what you do to ensure they know exactly what they mean to you.  Those are the blessings we often overlook.  Those are the things we miss.  I assure you whether you believe it or not right now you are a blessing to someone.  Right now someone needs you.  Right now someone is thinking of your strength, your faith, your story, your journey. Right now someone looks to you for motivation and is inspired by you! Stop putting yourself down!  Stop selling yourself short! Stop focusing on what you aren't! Focus on what you need and want to be. Have faith in what you can accomplish. Once you align all that it's  then that you begin to understand your role and you realize your purpose has been right there all along.

Daily BITUB- "God's Hands"

Do you feel like you are spiraling out of control? You can't figure out where you need to be, where you want to be, or even who you are.  You thought you had it.  You thought you knew exactly what you were supposed to be doing, and then all of a sudden you found yourself standing in the middle of a dream that wasn't yours.  So now what?  What comes next? That's up to you now, isn't it?  You can accept that this is what has to be, or you can gather up your blessings, get your courage, and leap in faith.  Stop looking around at what others have, stop wondering why they are there and you are here, stop trying to put yourself in their shoes, stop it all, and start making things happen! Life is a gift, but what happens in life is entirely up to us! We can make it everything we want it to be, but we have to be willing to do what it takes to be it! Take a breath. Put your doubt, your worries, your fears aside and give it all to God.  Then go!  Go with the belief that while we can't put ourselves in everyone's shoes, we are blessed to all be in God's hands.

Why not you?  

You can have the career you want.  You can have the friends you want.  You can live where you want to live.  You can love and be loved.  You can travel.  You can experience life at any pace you want. You can be happy.  You can be strong.  You can live in faith.  You can give more than you take.  You can do whatever you want to do!  Your environment doesn't dictate who you are; you do that.  It doesn't matter where you are from, it matters where you are willing to go.  Will you have to sacrifice things?  Probably.  Will you have to work harder?  Yes!  Will you have to realign priorities?  More than likely.  Will you have to push yourself when you are too tired to go on?  Absolutely.  Stop holding yourself back.  Stop making excuses for yourself.  Stop being afraid to try.  Just stop, and start, or restart, your pursuit of what truly makes you happy! The question shouldn't be why not you, but rather why not now?

Sometimes the hardest person to overcome is ourselves.  How often have we pushed ourselves down thinking of what we can't do?  How often have we told ourselves it's not possible, we don't deserve it, we aren't capable, we don't have what it takes?  We often are our biggest critic, and we are very influential when it comes to convincing ourselves what our limitations are.  What if we took all that negativity, all that doubt, all the fear of failure, and put it into who we can be?  Unlock your potential by accepting you have some!  Realize that there are no unrealistic dreams or goals only unrealistic limitations!  Step up by allowing yourself to get up, get in the game, fight the fight, and try!  Try for the simple reasoning that if you don't, you will never know!  You are able!  You are limitless!  You are strong!  You are blessed!  You are you!  You who can, who has, and who will!  Give yourself a chance, and Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU!

You control your focus. You decide the outcome. If you are looking for inspiration don't look far, look within! I get it, there is just so much adversity!  I get it there is just so much you must deal with!  The road looks so long sometimes, but the longer the better!  The longer the bigger the experience!  The harder it is the more rewarding it can be! So what if others don't believe in you!  You have to realize that people who claim they don't believe in you are simply afraid to see how much they really do!  After all maybe they don't believe they can handle what is facing them and watching you overcome your challenges may be the only way they are able to get motivated to take on their own. Blessings are everywhere.  Blessings exist in moments we have yet to understand. You just have to accept that not all blessings are in disguise.  Some of them are right there waiting for you to realize that you sometimes must be the blessing!

Have you hit the wall?  Are you at a point where you are thinking it's time to throw in the towel on that dream?  Are you tired, frustrated, tore down?  Are you feeling you've hit rock bottom?  Good!  This is the point where you don't have to wonder anymore what else could happen.  This is the moment you will decide if your dreams are worth it!  You will decide if you are as committed as you say you are!  This is it!  No more maybe, no more what if, no more walking the line!  You either are in or you are out!  You know the answer!  You know what matters most to you!  You know you have support!  You know there are blessings!  You know God is giving you what He knows you can handle!  What you don't know, however, is what lies beyond the doubt, the fear, the worry.  You don't know unless you take all the things that have gone wrong and make them right!  You don't know unless you push forward!  You don't know unless you do exactly what you said you would do when this started... Fight!  Fight for what you believe and for all those who believe in you!

What picture are you painting? Who are you letting paint it?  Who are you letting influence you?  The negative people we encounter don't dictate our outcome. They simply are a test to determine our ability to remain true to our values as we influence the outcome for the better. Our environment doesn't create our world. It is simply where we are, but does not dictate how we shall live. The failures we experience aren't the end game.  They are simply opportunities for us to get back up and challenge ourselves to push on. There are many influences in life, but nothing can influence our lives as much as we can! We get to paint the picture we want to see.  We get to take all God's blessings, all the pieces of life, and put them together through choices, experience, opportunities. The end result is a beautiful masterpiece where we ultimately are the only ones to determine the picture we will paint.

Don't tell us, show us!  Sometimes you have to jump in and attack life!  You have to go after it with all you are and stop thinking about what you aren't!  Have faith in the possibilities and be open to all the opportunities in front of you.  They are there, but we allow too many to go by for fear we can't do it!  We've all heard: you don't know until you try!  Well, you don't.  You are the only one capable of reaching your potential!  You are the only one capable of exceeding your expectations.  You influence your next move, how high you want to climb, how far you are willing to go, the limitations you will accept, and how big you will dream!  Don't tell us... Daily BITUB- "Steady"

Sometimes you simply get that feeling like you are unsteady and you question if you are where you should be.  You begin to wonder about the choices you made, the ones you must make, and the endless "what if's" those choices can create.  It happens to all of us at some point.  Chances are it's going to happen many times throughout the journey.  You want to pray, but you can't figure out what to pray for.  You don't want to ask for anything because, well, you aren't sure what you are asking for.  Strength? Faith? Guidance? Understanding?  Yes, probably all of those things.  Maybe, instead, you just take a step back and count your blessings.  Literally and loudly!  Say them out loud.  Go down the list!  Before you know it, the unanswered questions start to get answered. The doubt starts to fade.  The problems become challenges that turn into new blessings.  You stop thinking about what you don't have and start to give thanks to God for all you do. Then, you become steady once again, knowing you are exactly where God wants you to be.

Watching others live life will not help you live yours. Why spend time watching, criticizing, and even trying to bring others down? Why identify every problem, but not be a part of the solution? We all know those people, and chances are we have done it ourselves. We have many opportunities to be the support others need, the words of encouragement, the constructive feedback, the shoulder to cry on. Look at those moments as blessings! A chance to let your light shine and give others a chance for theirs to shine along with you. Don't let negativity bring you down. Don't let it steal your light. That negativity is an attempt to divert your focus. Don't put your energy there! Don't let it create circumstances that give outlets for excuses. Continue to look at the big picture of life while appreciating and basking in the daily snapshots you are blessed to experience. Live your life! Have no regrets! Be the light in your tunnel while being the one at the end of theirs!

Are you ready to finish this fight?  Are you ready to handle the task before you?  Maybe you are at the point where you are ready to throw in the towel.  Maybe you are thinking about quitting.  Maybe you are even thinking it's not worth the effort, frustration, emotions you put into it.  You have to be ready to answer those questions.  If you aren't dedicated to the cause then the slightest bit of doubt will get you off your game.  You can't finish if you aren't willing to start again.  Sometimes it takes a realignment of where you are and where you are trying to get to. You have to want it and you have to be sure you are ready to handle whatever is thrown your way.  You have to believe that your goals and dreams are worth it and you are going to chase them down no matter how difficult things get.  That's real commitment!  That's faith that God will be there to guide you!  That's trust in those around you to support as needed!  That's being willing to fight for what you believe in and for all those who believe in you!  That's Believing in the Unbelievable that is YOU!

Yesterday I heard several people say they just can't get motivated.  Thing is, if you are waiting for others to motivate you then you are putting your dreams, your goals, your commitments in their hands. While you may be surrounded by people chasing after the same things you are, those same goals have different meanings for everyone.  Maybe they don't want it like you do.  Maybe it's a secondary priority.  Maybe they are simply going through the motions! Expecting the answers from anywhere but within may find you searching more than executing. Things can spark inspiration but the motivation needed to excel is derived and sustained by you!  Get your mind around the tasks in front of you, stop talking and complaining about it, and start doing!  Reassess why you do it, why it matters, what it's going to take to get there, what it will mean to achieve it, and I assure you the days' motivation will create itself!

Every day we face new challenges. Some are unexpected, some we create, and still others are challenges we seek out.  Every possibility begins with opportunity.  It's a chance meeting, an unexpected trip, people we are not familiar with. Every moment can be one where we are called upon to take risks, set expectations, pave the way. It's our choice how and if we accept. Some will do it, others will fear the unknown. Which are you? Fear is a powerful feeling, but if you truly trust in it, there is nothing stronger than faith! We talk about it, but do we live it? Your ability to stay the course is inspiration. It's you giving hope to those whose fear holds them back. It's you living life so that your example empowers them to live theirs! It's you giving yourself the chance you simply may not have had before if you weren't willing to try! The challenges are many, but who you are begins with the choice to be challenged, to accept it, and set out on the journey to find who you are destined to be!

We miss targets many times throughout life, but we mustn't stop trying for the next one.  We mustn't lower our expectations as that is not what inspires growth.  Are we willing to settle, or will we rise to the occasion?  Will we push ourselves to the limit, and then push ourselves past it?  Nobody can decide that, but you.  Nobody will force you to excel, to try, to do more, to be more, that is on you!  That is your ability to influence yourself, motivate your mind, fire up your spirit, and care about hitting the commitments you have made to yourself and others.  Yes, there is a chance we fall short.  Yes, there is a chance we have setbacks.  Yes, there is a chance we will doubt, become frustrated, be afraid.  Then there is also as many chances to succeed, to overcome, to be confident, and to conquer our fears!  You never know unless you try.  You never know unless you are willing to have the courage to take on all the opportunities to hit as many targets as you can!

Daily BITUB- "Plans!"

You can't plan for it all.  You can prep for it, you can have back up plans, you can anticipate, but inevitably you will have to adjust, adapt and maneuver your way through life.  There are always going to be those crossroads in life, and no matter what path we take we must believe that God intended us to take it.  Even those moments when we question why we did this instead of that are moments when we must trust what lies ahead.  Easier said than done, but whether we want to or not if we want to live we must carry on.  It's amazing how many choices we must make in a day, but we do it.  Some are life changing, others are simple, and still there are others that we don't even realize will come to impact us years down the road.  Yet while those choices may alter today's plan, we mustn't allow them to change THE PLAN!  You know the one- That dream, that commitment, that passion for reaching the peak, braving the unknown, pushing the extremes, exceeding expectations. Sure, you can't plan for it all. You can, however, plan to do what you must do, and have faith that God will put the blessings along the way to help you do it.

I often say make your moments matter.  Some people ask me which ones.  I say, all of them! The creation of a special moment can begin in an instant. It can happen when you least expect it, and sometimes when you need it most. It's when you first realize you can achieve what you thought impossible. When you realize you are a parent, friend, confidant, supporter, contributor. When you begin to understand you are that shoulder to cry on and arms to be held by. It's when you first realize you love someone more than yourself and that feeling changes the entire course of your life. It's that spark of determination. It's crossing the finish line, climbing the mountain, beating the odds and creating new expectations for you and others. It's realizing that this moment you are in is filled with possibility and that the hope of becoming is embedded in the faith that you already are. In an instant, because you made the choice to Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU... You create your moment.

Be physically, mentally, and spiritually fit!  You never know when you'll need to be until it's time to be it. You must prepare yourself for every opportunity, every challenge, every emotional experience. Work to understand what you have in front of you so that you will be better prepared for what lies beyond you. Read, study, teach, learn, exercise, pray...  All of it matters in as much as you allow it to matter! Give yourself a fighting chance by equipping yourself with the tools to fight!  The road is long, the journey is longer, and some of the blessings along the way will require some heavy lifting, but lift we must and lift we can! Be blessed today by your ability to do so!
