Whose reality really matters? People spend lifetimes trying to be something they are not. They wear the clothes, work the jobs, live the lives they think they are supposed to until that one day they realize they are standing in the middle of a life that isn't theirs. It's not easy to stop it sometimes. It's not even noticeable other times. It's even harder to admit it and then make the changes necessary to create your reality. Your ability to find happiness is based on the choices you make. It is dictated by your commitment to those things that you know matter and that you are willing to dedicate the time and effort into achieving. It is about who you live with and who and what you live for. Make the conscious decisions each day to bring yourself closer to the reality you want. It's there you are at your best. It's there your faith takes the lead. It's there you are YOU! Remember to live life... Don't spend so much time proving to others who they think you are that you forget to focus on who you know you need to be, and who God already knows you are.

It's enough when you make it enough. Often we are so focused on what we don't have we completely overlook what we do. The fast paced, instant gratification, free one day shipping, info at our fingertips world can distract you enough that you forget the things that bring you joy. Real joy! Getting to spend time with your kids, laughing and enjoying moments with your spouse, helping someone at work be better, giving more than you take, watching the sunrise... The list can and should go on and on. It's all those pieces we often take for granted that make up the big picture. The big picture of who we are, why we are, what we do, and who we do it for. It's easy to get caught up in the next big thing. It's easy to want to experience what we think is greener grass. Sometimes we will. Sometimes it takes us taking that journey to come full circle and find appreciation in the blessings we have been missing. Sometimes it takes that journey for us to stop, to look around, to see we have been standing on that greener grass all along.

Either we can let adversity stop us dead in our tracks or we dig in our heels and progress forward! It's all in perspective. It's how we look at what is in front of us and how we use what is behind us. It's our choice. It's in those moments we must make decisions and understand there are consequences to those decisions. What will it be? Do you dwell and sulk in the negative or do you find the good that exists in all experiences? Our blessings can exist anywhere we choose to see them. Yet seeing them isn't always easy. Reality of living is understanding not every situation will be exactly as we envisioned, but having faith that God's vision is what matters can carry you through anything. Let the moment unfold before you and let it provide you the opportunity to grab hold of what matters. Let each decision, each experience, each moment give you the foundation you need to grow your values and determine your priorities. Let it all help you realize each moment is shaping who you are and more importantly who you want to be.

If you belief in it then stand by it. You can't compromise what's in your heart because it's the easy way out. That won't help anyone. That won't show what matters to you. I know that easy way seems much more appealing, but it will bother you. It will creep up when you least expect it. When you sit and start to realize you've allowed yourself to move away from the foundation you have committed to standing on from day one you will regret settling. Be true to yourself. Be honest with others about what it all really means to you. Be willing to stand up for what you believe in and the values you want to live by. Be accountable to them! Own them! Be them! Make it non negotiable for others to be part of your life. Make it necessary if people want to grow, learn, teach, experience with you. Put it out there. Shout it from the rooftops. Don't settle, don't give in, don't let that road less traveled scare you, or create doubt. Be that person that has a vision and is willing to chase it down. It won't always be met with open arms, but it will matter when all is said and done. It will matter because you will have been honest with yourself, with others, and at the end of the day it's that truth that will allow you to build on the foundation you refused to abandon. It will matter because you made it matter.

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God,so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." Ephesians 6: 10-11

There are always going to be those people that challenge your way of thinking. They want nothing more than to derail your progress and put doubt in your mind as to what you are doing. It's hard to ignore them, harder to feel like you want to walk away and not continue to support them, even harder to feel like you have failed. Thing is you haven't unless you quit being, doing, creating, motivating, inspiring! You must not let Satan deter you as he puts those obstacles in your path. Those negative situations and people are there to test you, and test you they will. So be it! You know that with God you are stronger. You know that having  faith in your plan is what can carry you. You know the good you are doing shouldn't stop because of one person, one situation, one moment in this ever changing journey. Where you are is where God intends for you to be. Don't doubt that. Don't give up. Don't stop fighting. Instead gather up your blessings, put on your armor, and believe. Believe you can, Believe in God and His power, and Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU!

"Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty." A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips. When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit." -John 19:28-30

I told my wife this week how much this Easter/Lenten season meant to me. I grew up cradle catholic. I have spent many years going through the stations of the cross and discussing that God gave us His only Son so that our sins could be forgiven. I have celebrated the resurrection on Easter and have been grateful and blessed by what it all means. Yet that meaning was more of a thought. A thought that Jesus died for everyone's sins, but it never really hit home for me like this year. Maybe it is because I truly am focused on letting God be my life rather than be a part of it. Maybe it's because I am experiencing what it means to feel and appreciate God's many blessings. Maybe it's because I feel more connected to a church family today more than I have in years. Maybe it's because I've sat, thought, reflected, and asked God why He gives me so many blessed opportunities to serve Him when I feel like I don't deserve it, and He continues to answer me in His time and His way. This Lenten season I have felt the true meaning of it for me. I have felt that God have His only Son to forgive my sins. I understand that it was for everyone, but I feel the personal connection and feel the emotion of what is to come in three days. We feel sorrow, grace, blessed, loved, hope, faith, emotional, safe, saved, and my heart is full and broken all at once. In my heart, my mind, my soul I can feel God working through me and for once I get the true meaning and significance of what it means in John 3:16... "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

Happy Easter everyone and Believe in the Unbelievable that is God and all He does in our lives today and everyday!

What if you weren't the person people thought you were? What if you were? In the world of social media we can create any persona we want. We can paint the perfect picture, post the best photos, have the best life, be political, by faithful, be happy, want attention, but it won't last if it's not you. You can pretend all you want, but you and God know exactly where you are, who you are, and where you want to go. You can't hide from that. No matter how hard you try it will catch up to you. Take a look at yourself. Really take a look. Are you living the life you want? Are your priorities aligned? Are the people you are letting influence you the right ones? Are you talking about living with God in your life or are you letting God truly live in your life? Who is looking back at you in the mirror? Is it the same person that you want others to see? Is it the person you want your kids to emulate? Is it the person you want to see? Sometimes the hardest reflection is your own. It's tough to look at yourself and be honest with where you are and take accountability for it. It won't always be easy. In fact it will be extremely hard. Hard to become that person because of all the obstacles you are putting in your path, hard because of all the excuses you use to let yourself off the hook, hard because you want it to be. So, if you want to be that person you want others to see, if you want to live the life that you post, if you want to be honest with yourself and be the person God intends for you to be... Then be it! Be it and fight for it! The things we fight for the hardest provide us an appreciation that we may not have had if it were just given to us. Be your blessings. Realize your blessings. See your blessings. Don't worry about being the person people think you are, be the person you know you can and want to be.

The most challenging times in our life call upon us to excel. They call on us to step up and reach levels we didn't believe we could. Those times are when the amazing confidence within comes through. It's when our journey becomes even more focused and faith holds together the pieces of our foundation that want to fall apart. It's when we begin to understand that we have grown beyond our limitations and challenges are simply stepping stones to help us reach the next level of who we are truly capable of being. Each day is another opportunity to learn, to grow, to share, to give, to work through our trials to see more of what's beyond that wall... What are you passionate about? What are you going to do to get yourself that much closer to who you know you want to be? The strength to be who we are lies in our ability to see what we are capable of achieving, and then believe in ourselves enough to be willing to achieve it. It is our passion that drive us! It lies in the appreciation of our gifts and talents. You know the ones... The ones given to us by God and cultivated by the experiences throughout our lives.The end result of those experiences are not always going to be what we may have expected, or even what we wanted, but rest assured God will provided what is needed. Along the journey there will be people and places in our lives that will change. That change is not a bad thing if we are staying true to our values and the dreams and goals we are destined to pursue. That change is growth! Growth in ourselves, in how we look at life, and in our priorities. It's growth that often tests our strength where we find that the pursuit of happiness becomes more clear. It helps us understand what it is that truly defines happiness for us. Family? Friends? Career? Health? Maybe it's all of it. Regardless, knowing is the starting point and believing is the foundation of our strength that gives us the push to achieve that happiness. Have faith in the journey. Trust your strength. Use it to find your purpose, and remember purpose will always drive your passion.

There are so many ways to chase a dream. One thing for sure though is we must have the will to chase it even when it seems out of reach. How often does it feel impossible? How often do we refuse to let ourselves see it? Taking the journey, despite the challenges, isn't easy. It's up to you to make the choice that your dreams are worth the effort! They are your dreams! Make them matter. Let them matter. Believe they matter! Understand your role in it all. Understand it won't happen without you pushing yourself beyond limitations and accepting you can, you should, you are capable! God gives us the path. He gives us the blessings. He gives us countless opportunities to reach our wildest dreams. It's what we do with those gifts that matter! It's fighting through the doubt that may exist when we listen to what others think instead of listening to our heart, listening to our passion, listening to what God is telling us. Every instance of our lives provides those unique moments that create impressions on who we are.The people we meet, the places we visit, the songs we hear. I've found that our memories recreate those moments based off what was most important in that particular event. Think of all those important times and the people who seem to exist in every one of those memories. Oddly enough they start to become parts of memories they may not have even been a part of originally. We place them there because it is their presence that provides comfort, strength, faith, hope, love. They become part of our foundation and ultimately ever present in our lives. Take the time to cherish those memories and appreciate those people. They are your blessings. They are part of why you do what you do. They are beacons of light in the darkest moments.. We call them wife, husband, brothers, sisters, friends, family. We tell them our deepest secrets and we hold theirs close to our heart. We grow together and we learn from one another. We pray together, we worship together, we thank God for allowing us to be in this life with them. We know their faith can hold us up and we offer ours every chance we can. We understand the true meaning of "everything happens for a reason". For it's those people that couldn't have been unless God placed them there for the very reason they exist in our lives... To give us light in the dark. To give us examples of unconditional love. To be examples of faith and lessons of hope. To be why we can, do and always will Believe in the Unbelievable moments that make life the beautiful journey God intended it to be.

Nothing is beyond reach. It's up to us though to go get it. It's those outer areas in life that we find what we are made of. It's those areas were hope lies. It's where our faith takes over. It's beyond what we can actually see, but what we often imagine. It's where our biggest goals are cultivated and our strongest will takes over. It's where heart out paces the mind and our instincts provide direction. It's where we get to show what all our experiences have meant and what character those experiences have created. It's where those that support us hold us up and love exists unconditionally. It's where we have no choice but to be honest with who we are in order that we may see who we need to be. It's where our next level exists and where we have long surpassed our limitations. It's where tomorrow becomes today and our dreams become our reality. It's where we should always want to be, and it's trusting that we truly are capable of being there. It's living. It's loving. It's giving. It's caring. It's serving others. It's appreciating God's blessings and His gift of life. It's where you get to see the power of what it means to Believe in the Unbelievable in YOU can truly do. Daily BITUB- “Faith”

Have faith. Keep the faith. Be of faith. Yes we say it, we tell others to have it, we think about it, but when it's time to express it, lean on it, show what that faith means to us do we? Are we willing to fully allow ourselves to let faith guide us? Are we listening to what God is saying to us? Are we overlooking the prayers that are being answered because they weren't answered the way we wanted? Are we missing that God instead answered them the way we needed? Everyday we are presented moments where we don't know what's coming. We don't know if the decisions we are making are the right ones. We don't know if the plan we have is going to work. We don't know if the steps we are taking are taking us where we want to go. We face choices, decisions, crossroads and in order to progress forward we have to trust our instincts. We have to trust that we aren't in this alone. We have to trust that God is there every step of the way. We have to trust that He knows what decisions we will make before we make them. We have to have faith!   We have to keep the faith! We have to be of faith! So if all else seems lost... Just close your eyes and leap. Leap with the faith no matter where you land God is already there ready to catch you.

Daily BITUB- “Stress?”

How do you handle stress? How do you put yourself at ease? It's not easy. In fact some days it feels downright impossible. I often just have to pause and breathe. I find myself closing my eyes and picturing those things that remind me why I'm doing what I'm doing. I see my family, I see my journey, I see my goals. Then I pray. I reassure myself God is in my life, He's guiding me, He's aware of where I am and where I'm going. The stress doesn't immediately subside, but it becomes more and more manageable until it's gone. Then I remember that saying that nothing worth having is easy. Well it's not, but chasing down those dreams, taking the small victories along the way, letting the joy in makes it all worthwhile. So grab a hold of what matters and hold tight. Don't let the days that seem completely unmanageable deter you from all the days that are. Don't let go of your journey, don't lose sight of your faith, and always Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU!

Daily BITUB- “Does it matter?”

Tired of fighting an uphill battle? Are you drained to the point your goals just don't matter anymore? Great questions. Honestly ask yourself if it really matters. If it doesn't then you should stop fighting for it. If it doesn't you should move on. Life isn't going to lay down so we can have it, and is that what we really want? Remember that overcoming, fighting for something or someone and facing those challenges is what makes success, winning and achieving so much more rewarding. It's what makes reaching that peak worth it, but that's just it, it has to be worth it to you. Your heart has to be in it! Your mind has to want it! Your soul has to need it! We all grow weary of the fight, but I have learned that the regret in not fighting for what I believed in was way worse than the fight itself. You know what matters to you! Trust that instinct. Have faith in what you are telling yourself.  Be open and honest to what you feel. Open your heart to the strength in God's love to have the courage to walk away or to continue the fight. Whatever you decide knowing you are on God's path will ensure you make the exact decision you were suppose to make exactly when you were supposed to make it.

You have to wonder how many endeavors have fallen by the wayside because we were afraid to try. We think ourselves out of it. It's too hard, too far away, too challenging, too much. When you put your focus there of course it seems impossible. You should instead put your focus on the task at hand. Put it on your commitment to find and chase down what God has in store for you. Get your motivation by the many things you have already done. The times they said you couldn't and you said WATCH ME! Those things are what you must reflect on to realize how much potential you truly do have. Those are the things that create strength and influence the outcome.  Concentrate on the positive! Leave the negative thoughts behind. Stop listening to the naysayers. Hear the supporters. Listen to the encouragement. You already have exceeded someone's expectation of you. You have already surpassed limitations others have set. Now, don't stop! Take God's gift of life, His gift of possibility, His blessings and focus on your next endeavor! The adventure awaits!

It's not easy to leap. Often we spend so much energy on where we will land we never do. We focus on the fear of the unknown. That's natural, but so is our instinct to discover! So instead, focus on that uncertainty as an opportunity to be more, to experience more, to do things you never have. Use it to be a better you and to go beyond limitations. It's there where our belief is at its strongest. It's there where God's love provides us the comfort we need and is ever present. It's there where we come face to face with our faith. It's there where we learn what matters. It's there where we begin to understand who matters. It's there where hope creates light. It's there where our goals become our priorities. It's there where we get to choose who we are and where we need to be. It's there where we realize we can leap and that is a blessing in itself. So go ahead and leap! Leap with God! Leap In faith, in love, in the beauty that wherever you land you will be that much closer to making your dreams your reality.

Daily BITUB- “How do we believe?”

How do you believe when things aren't working out? What do you do when you are at wits end? What about those times when nothing makes sense anymore? When all you thought was important changes in an instant. When you feel all you have left is to ask why.  Life isn't always easy to get. Honestly, many times, it's just plain hard. Even harder to feel like you can, or even, should feel passionate about anything once you've lost passion for something else. I get it, but you know life's most passionate moments often come when we least expect it. The significance of those moments will change because we do. It's not that something doesn't matter anymore. It's that experiences, growth and lessons give us a different outlook of what passion truly means for us. One of my favorite quotes helps me to  remember that we believe even when it's beyond reason to believe. That is trusting the path that God has laid out even when we aren't certain where it's headed. There is real beauty in that. There is real beauty in choosing to believe in those moments where things aren't working out and appreciating that through God they always do.

Yet they danced anyway! How often must we swim upstream? We won't always be met with open arms. Our dreams, our vision, our path may not fit what others feel is right. That doesn't make others right, it doesn't mean they are wrong. We all have different views, understandings, journeys. Your path is yours. You willing to fight for it? You willing to stand up for it? You willing to let your passion take over? It is our belief and faith that allows us to push through limitations. Our ability to fulfill our vision will not come from the position we are in, but from the passion we are willing to put in to it. Get up and get after it! Live your life and live it daily. Put all of you into the moment. Experience the day. Be a part of it. Influence it. God provides the gift, but what you do with it is on you! Dance! Dance to the music only you can hear. Let others be motivated by it! Let yourself be better for it, and Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU.
