The other side of this moment seems so far away doesn't it? Why are you afraid? You've ventured into the unknown before. Remember when you grabbed God's hand and just leapt? It's never easy, but it's always been worth it. Remember no matter where you land you are that much closer to your dreams! I know it's hard to have the faith to just jump. The dream seems so far out of reach. The goal feels like it's not attainable. It is though! Think about how many dreams you are living right now! It is right there, but you have to believe. You have to have faith in the moment and trust that this moment will be a defining one. It will be an opportunity for growth, to face your fears, to be what you set out to be. It will create an experience, a lesson, a memory to think back on when you reach that next opportunity to leap. Then when you think of that the other side doesn't seem so far away does it?

Daily BITUB- “Go get it!”

Too many times we sell ourselves short. We determine early on that we can live with settling. That is, until we can't. To break ourselves out of that is no easy task. We have to get past the excuses, the lack of honesty in what matters to us, and the fear of going after what matters to us. We have to realign our priorities and determine if we need a subtle realignment or a complete overhaul. Only you can determine that. If you want change then be the catalyst for that change. If people are set in their ways maybe it's you who must have the courage to stand up and push the norm. Don't be complacent. Don't be deterred by the obstacle in front of you. Take the challenge. Take it because you can handle it! Even if you don't have what you need now, believe that God will give you what you need along the way, and then get after it! "If you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth!"- Rocky

Daily BITUB- “Don’t Quit”

If it matters then don't quit! Don't give in because someone told you it was hard for them. Just because it is doesn't mean it will be hard for you. Their limits aren't your limits, their dreams aren't your dreams, their goals aren't your goals. Limitations are excuses. They are there to create a smoke screen to what lies just beyond this place you are in. Push through it. Stop letting the naysayers hold you back. Let them doubt you. Use it to find that next level of you that says I can, I have, and I will! You are a beautiful person destined to reach as high as you are willing to reach. You will dream as big as you are willing to dream. You will go as far as you are willing to go. You will believe in yourself as much as you allow yourself to believe. So, why not Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU? If it matters then don't quit!

Daily BITUB- “Crossroads”

Often times we are faced with tough decisions. We have choices to make that we know will impact others, but we also know we have to make them. It may change our current course, but if we aren't honest with what's in our heart then we aren't being honest with anyone. Each crossroad presents itself with opportunity. A different set of opportunities though. We don't know what lies ahead, but what we do know is we mustn't stop now. We must give ourselves the chance to move forward, to experience, to grow. The choices we've made up to now put us where we are. We own that! We control that! We get to be the catalyst for what comes next. So choose, and trust that God already knows which path you will choose. He is already ahead of you, ready to be there as you move through life, through those tough decisions, through adversity, through the good times and the bad...  He is already ahead of you standing at the next crossroad.

Daily BITUB- “Defeats”

Don't downplay your defeats. We all have them. We all experience setbacks. We all deal with disappointment, hurt and fear of what else could happen. We all face those moments that push us to our limits, but it's what we do with those moments that matter. Slow down and take it all in. Take from those defeats the lessons you can learn. See the blessings within the opportunity to learn and grow. Use them to be better.  Then get on with it! Feel the power of the many prayers that surround you.  Use your faith and the faith of others to get up and get moving! Don't you want to show what you are made of?  Don't you want to realize the true nature of your character? Don't you want to create a foundation that you can build from? Remember that the dark exists only in those places we don't allow our light to shine. So what are you waiting for? Use the battle to motivate you! Use the momentum of getting back up to push yourself forward! There is always going to be adversity in our lives, but there is also always going to be God's Grace and His love! Grow in Him. Grow through Him. Grow with Him! Let today's adversity become tomorrow's blessings.

Daily BITUB- “The Journey”

We are all on some journey. That journey brings us joy, pain, happy, sad, negative and positive. That journey provides us moments, experience, and beauty. It's how we see it. It's our perspective of it. We get to think the good or bad in to every single moment. We take the adversity and grow from it or we shrink to it. We make those choices every day. We get that opportunity and how we use it is on us. The journey is a blessing and a gift from God. We get to live, share, grow, give, love, be loved, be the good, be the bad...  It's up to us. God provides us a path, but how we walk it is going to be determined by our priorities. It will be what we decide matters. It will be who we decide matters. It will be an ever changing, beautiful, and blessed journey of realization. A realization that we can truly do all things through Christ. That we are blessed to walk with God, to live our lives, to go wherever we choose to go with the faith God will provide us all we need exactly at the moment we will need it. We are all on some journey. Make your moments matter.

Daily BITUB- “Worries”

How often do you worry about things out of your control? I see it with friends, family, coworkers. People get so caught up in things that they have no influence over. What goes by the wayside are the things they should be paying attention to. They leave their issues, goals, dreams unattended. Sometimes so long they find themselves living someone's life, or worse, forgetting about all the dreams they have yet to realize. It may take some subtle changes, or you may be at a place you need to do a compete overhaul. Realign priorities as needed. Don't be afraid to re-evaluate your life, your place, and your influence in that! Give those worries to God. Trust in Him to hear you. Take that anxious energy and put that energy into prayer. Start the day with God and revisit Him often throughout the day. You can never catch Him at a bad time for all He has is time for us. Don't be afraid to give Him all your thoughts, cares, worries. As scripture says, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10)

Do you appreciate the opportunity? Maybe you don't like every part of your job, your circumstances, your school, but the fact you have those opportunities is a blessing isn't it? We miss a lot of our blessings because we find ourselves wrapped up in the negative parts of it. We miss the good. We overlook the positive. It's almost a condition of what we see, read, and are convinced to think. Think about the beauty in having another day to simply be present. To be present and a participant in living life, in experiencing a challenge, in being able to pursue a dream. We miss those things because we wrap ourselves around how hard life is and forget how beautiful it is to live it! Thank God for your moments and in those moments grab hold of something that moves you. Let it move you to the point that you surpass limitations, you excel, and you exceed because you are so focused on the beauty that you have in your life you simply don't have time to notice the negative.

If you set your expectations low that is what you get. You have to put that bar out of reach. You have to get yourself thinking right. Limitations are self inflicted. You want more go get it. You want to reach a certain level then set your benchmark higher. We are masters at talking ourselves out of things. Great at accepting mediocrity. Why? Why accept something less than what you want? Sure it's harder. Yes, it's going to take all of you. Yes, it is going to challenge you. Good! You are probably standing in a place you never thought you would reach. Yet here you are. There is no dream too big, no goal too lofty, no mountain that can't be climbed! Quit letting adversity win. Dig in. Gather up your faith! The power to do more is already in you! Push yourself. Find that other level. It's there. It's there because you've seen it  before. You remember, it was at that moment when you wanted something so bad you refused to accept anything but achieving it.

You can't turn it off and on. You have to commit to it. You have to go all in. Especially when the odds are stacked against you. Even when everyone around you says you can't. Don't listen to them. Instead hear the voices of those surrounding you telling you that you can. Your motivated. You don't need to be inspired, you are inspiring. Look at all you've beat already! Nobody gets to stop you, because your heart is in it. You made a promise you wouldn't turn back. You told yourself no matter how tough it gets you would be tougher. God's gift of life is amazing, but He can't live it for you. That's on you! That's in you! That is taking responsibility for what you started and being strong enough to finish it. Go ahead have hope. See the possibility. Trust in God. Have faith and leap as many times as it takes. It's going to happen because you've come to far to turn back now. You better believe I believe, and when you dig deep down I bet you'll find you do too!

Give yourself a chance. Stop being so negative about everything. Negative people and negative things only have the power you allow them to have over you. Stop letting them control your day! I know it's not easy. I know some days you don't want to be positive, be the one smiling, be the one encourages... but if not you then who? While you may not be up for it you surely don't need to bring everyone down around you. Pause if you have to and check yourself. Remember why you are where you are. Remember why you do what you do. Remember the blessings in your life. Remember if you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel be the light in the tunnel. Let yourself find the good in the moment and shine. It's there. It's always there. You just have to believe there is good in every moment and Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU!

Daily BITUB- “9-11”

We will never forget. 

I remember I was in NC grounded. I was to leave that day when it happened. I was watching, along with everyone else, in utter disbelief. I was mad, sad, confused, and left wondering what just happened. As news unfolded and we waited to be cleared to fly home things sunk in when all flights were cancelled. I was lost for words, and wondering what could I do. How could I help? Then, about a week later, I saw this person on TV say they were going to be better for all this. She told the story of how her family was on one of the planes and while she was hurting she knew so many others were too. So, she was just going to pray. Pray for herself, her family, others, the USA, and anyone else that needed it. I decided to do the same. I sat for another week before we could fly and just worked and prayed. When I finally did fly again I was very afraid. Yet in that fear I found comfort in all the others on that plane with me who said we have to keep living, especially for those we lost. We will rebuild, we will fly, we will learn, we will grow, we will stand strong in prayer, true to our faith, and continue to have hope of what will be. Today, I simply remember. I remember and as I did then, just like that person that lost her family, I pray for all that were, still are, will be impacted by that day. That they will use our faith when theirs waivers, our hope when they can't see it for themselves, and know even in our darkest moments there are blessings.

No one can define what you want to be more than you can. No one can determine what your definition of passion is but you. As time goes on we will be passionate about many things. Those are the things that are non negotiable for us. We will find another level in us to achieve it. We will push through limitations. We will overcome adversity, overlook the naysayers, and refuse to give up. It is that passion that helps us focus on the life we want to lead, how we will live that life, and the people we are blessed to live and share it with. Passion in something is a blessing. Find the passion within yourself and begin to understand that what you believe in and what you fight for is nothing less than the amazing realization that you care enough to go and get it!

We've all had those days that hit us with everything bad that can happen. Though, the harder it is the stronger we get to be. There is no questioning why. God has His reason. We may not know it today, or ever, but there is a reason. Faith is an amazing feeling that picks us up and holds us tight when we need it most. Think about it. When things seem lost, life is at its worst, and you can't see how you will get through this experience that's when God's Grace is at work. That's when His plan is at its peak taking us through trials to help us grow. It gives us wisdom for the next time, lessons to share with others, hope to grasp on to. It teaches us to accept what we believe... That "(We) can do all things through Christ who strengthens (us)." (Philippians 4:13)

Sure it's easy to be negative. It's easy to push people away. It's even easier to put your wall up. Unfortunately that's where many people will choose to reside. The risk takers, the dreamers, the people willing to venture into the unknown... Those are the ones that inspire, motivate, and push the limits! Those are the ones willing to set the standard and raise the bar. Those are the ones that won't settle for anything less than more! They encourage, they drive, they resonate positivity, they share their passion and they give all of them to everything. They don't expect things to happen they make things happen. They don't run from challenges, they don't shy away from adversity, they don't point fingers. No, instead they push themselves, they get out of their comfort zone, and understand it's not what you think you deserve, but what you are willing to earn... And you earn it every single day!

How long has it been since you just sat and dreamed? Just lost yourself in all the things you've wanted, all the roads you've taken to get there, and the things you could have, should have, and those you have done. I've pursued many dreams over my lifetime, and I'm still pursuing many. As I've experienced life, my desire to reach my dreams hasn't changed, but the actual dreams have evolved. I've learned that there are many variations to a dream. Most of which have a similar foundation... To be happy, to be better, to reach higher, to find success, to create a better place, to be that better place, to love living, to experience much, to be your blessings, to love and be loved. What has changed the most, however, is the vision of what all that means, or rather, who is a part of that vision. I still want all those things, but can't see it without my family, my friends, my kids, my wife any more. I can't visualize a moment that doesn't include those that matter most all around me. Whether they are here, passed on, moved away doesn't matter. They are present in the mind, the heart, the soul. It is those memories, examples, inspirations, motivational moments they have provided along the journey that reassures as long as we have that - we will always be living a dream as we pursue the next.

There is so much going on around us. Even more going on in our own lives. So much that it's easy to forget to stop  for a moment and appreciate the journey. There is no beauty in making a living if you aren't living! Cherish every moment, every lesson, every experience. Take the smallest of moments in, revel in the biggest ones, and don't be so quick to move on to the next one. Instead take a breath. Sure, life is often moving at lightening speed, but remember you control you. You have the strength to slow it down if just for a moment. So do it! Do it and appreciate it! Give thanks to God for letting you experience another day, another sunrise, another breath, another opportunity to love and be loved, to give, to share, to laugh, cry, to dream...
