A few days ago reading emails I came across one that reminded me of myself years ago. It reminded me how I would question people's decisions sometimes. I would question their choices. It read, "My friend decided to go live with his dad. They weren't even close and he decided moving away with him was better. I don't get it!"
Sometimes we don't get it. Sometimes people don't get us. Thing is we can't ever assume we know why people choose what they do. We don't always know the circumstances behind those decisions. While we may be there listening, talking and giving our view... So are others. Thing is we weren't there at that moment when they stood at that crossroad. We weren't there as they talked it over with others. We weren't there when they decided to make a change. We weren't there through all the trials, experiences and lessons. We weren't there when they reached that wall and decided to climb it. We weren't there when they decided to chase their dreams. We weren't there
when they said the wouldn't give up and they would fight for their beliefs. We weren't there when they prayed for guidance and the strength to leap on faith. We don't always know why they choose what they did, but what we do know...
God was there.
God is there.
That's their path and their choice and we are blessed that we too get to make decisions that impact ours. We can't ever assume we know the circumstances, but we can pray with them, for them and for ourselves as we all continue to make choices on whatever journey God has in store for us today.
