I wrote this 4 years ago. Yet it seems timely with how often I see how unkind people can be, and yesterday was Unity Day (Anti-Bully Day). It can be exhausting if you let yourself get tangled up in that web of negative, hurt, and ugly. Everyday we will make a choice as to how we react, how we treat people, what type of influence we will be. Kindness seems to be an easy choice.

We've all heard the saying "It's a thin line between love and hate". Thing is hate is such a strong emotion. It is a feeling that requires so much energy on our part not theirs. I get it sometimes people are difficult to get along with. Sometimes they may do things we do not agree with, and other times they may deliberately do things that hurt others. Guess what? You are not responsible for their actions. You mustn't allow their values, their outlook, their way of doing things to keep you from appreciating the blessings around you. Instead of spending so much energy on the negative feelings, take your positive and invest it in dreams, goals, the good in your life, and spreading joy and kindness with others. Invest it in the people who matter most. Remember it's not about those we must live with, but those we are blessed to live for. After all, "Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen." 1 John 4:20.
Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you choose kindness. Choose to enlighten someone's day with words of encouragement, thoughtfulness, and kindness. Choose happy and make today matter for you and for someone else.
