"Cause me to hear Thy loving kindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee." Psalm 143:8
Recently my family and I are making it a point to pray in the morning together. Sure we prayed individually, but pulling together to lift up prayers to God with the start of each new day provides a comfort knowing that we intentionally called upon God together to guide our day. Some days we pray for guidance, other days for strength, there are prayers for a productive day, a happy day, wisdom, an easy day. Even better to share how the day went and to see how God was present throughout the moments we experienced. Maybe it wasn't the easy day we envisioned, but we share with the kids how God answers prayers as He knows we need them answered. Maybe the day could of been harder, and only He knows all the things He diverted from us. Maybe our productive day was one where didn't cross off all our to dos, but we found ourselves helping others instead. A different type of productive, but may have helped someone know that helping hands and kindness are everywhere. We don't have to look far to see God at work. We just have to let ourselves appreciate it. We may not fully understand today, but I can tell you from many experiences that I have come to understand, even some years later, why God answered my prayers as He did. Then on Fridays we intentionally pray for others. We lift up those prayers with complete faith that God will be at work in their lives as well. The power of prayer is magnificent, and we are blessed that we are given the opportunity to let God know just how thankful we are to be able to ask Him and know He is listening.
Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you pray. Give it to God. Lift them up to Him. Give thanks. Give the Glory to Him. Ask and receive. Be open to how He answers your prayers. Know He is present in your life. "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." (Mark 11:24)
