Recently I was reading essays by Ralph Waldo Emerson. I came across a quote that made me read it again and again. "God will not have His work made manifest by cowards." I thought, my goodness, that can mean many things. As I put myself in the quote, as I often do, I began to understand its meaning as it applies to me. What I heard was understanding the importance and responsibility of following through with what you say you will. Being all in no matter the challenges or circumstances. Not putting your toe in the water, but jumping in. It's knowing you are going to hit walls, experience cross roads, negativity, set backs, but holding steadfast to what you know is right for you and your life. It's not settling for things that make you comfortable, but living out dreams in a way that shows we won't be turned away because someone else doesn't think the dream is worth it. There is nothing casual about a daily dedication to grinding out a life that pushes us daily to be more than we were yesterday. Nothing easy about raising the bar, exceeding limitations, and reaching a potential we didn't even know we had. God gives us all gifts. Gifts unique to us. Gifts that we are called upon to use and not allow them to sit idle. Gifts that may take the courage to stand up and use even when the odds are stacked against us. Yes, His works will not be manifested by cowards.
Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you feel the strength of those around you who want nothing more than for you to succeed. That you have the courage to face the adversity that exists in chasing life sometimes. That you know that the gifts God bestowed upon you was done so because He knows those gifts belong to you. He knows you will use them to glorify Him.
