How true is this? Shouldn't we strive to be better than we were yesterday? Better stewards of our time, our resources, our relationships. Shouldn't we hold ourselves up to a higher standard? Shouldn't we expect the same of others? Luke 6:31 says, "And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them." This has resonated with me this week. Why? Because I have treated others how I wanted to be treated yet I was met with so much negativity. My initial response was hurt, anger, and I wanted to retaliate. I stopped myself though. I didn't let their response influence mine. I knew that was not who I was, and they weren't going to pull me into that place. It's not easy. Not at all, but it matters. Don't get off your path. Don't let them deter you from being who you are. Keep treating others as you want to be treated, and be better than you ever thought you could be.
Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is for you to feel confident that you can remain a positive influence in all situations.
"In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 7:12)
