"Leave the Unfamiliar"
Sounds easy enough doesn't it? Just move away from the things we know in pursuit of the things we don't. This isn't to say we aren't satisfied with where we are, but our ability to continue to learn and grow beyond our comfort zone is something not too many people are willing to do. I am in constant motion forward with a real need to learn more about the things that inspire me. For me, that is leadership. Learning how to serve others better, to create a positive learning environment around me, to have intimate relationships that build strong foundations is a daily blessing. I study great leaders by reading about them and over my years I have come face to face with brilliant leaders that helped shape my path. In my early career I was tasked with a job to travel to several places to train new products and to observe the leadership and teams there to provide feedback on what was working and what wasn't. During that time I saw really strong leadership, and I saw leadership happening in ways I knew I wasn't interested in replicating. It helped me understand everyone leads differently, everyone needs to be lead differently, there are learning styles, different motivational keys to people, different levels of belief in potential and different ways to help them reach it. The more and more I dig into people and leadership the more I understand the need for us to branch out from under the familiar into areas that allow us to explore our talents, gifts, and skills. We must be willing to tap into our full potential and help others do the same. To serve others is a gift, and we must continue to work on pushing ourselves out of complacency in order to elevate ourselves and those around us.
Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you trust that there is no unfamiliar with God. He is a companion in all things and it is through Him we must find the courage to take the leaps of faith that put us that much closer to helping ourselves and others reach their dreams.
Have a blessed day everyone.
