"The Best Plan"
I have always liked things to be planned out. I like to strategize, and based off my experiences create possible outcomes to situations. Problem is that doesn't always coincide with how life comes at us. What I've learned over time is those same plans, strategies and experiences help us navigate when things don't go as expected. I have a friend that always says, "Don't cuss it just yet. See how it plays out." Often he's exactly right. We are better equipped than we think. We forget our ability to adapt and shift when we need to. We overlook our intuition and instincts. We've all had those gut feelings. We know when we must act, we know what we must do, and we have to stop ignoring that. You have to trust yourself all the time. You can't turn it off and on. That's not how it works. One of my go to books is "The Trusted Advisor Fieldbook". In this book there is a great passage, "For people to trust and be trusted by others (and ourselves), they must take personal risks and face personal fears in ways that cannot by their nature, be planned and structured." We've maybe heard that a different way. Take a leap of faith. You have deep within you the ability to do things you won't realize until you let yourself get beyond limitations. You have potential you must allow yourself to reach. Part of that trust, that faith, is knowing no matter where you land God is there, and you are that much closer to to where you should be. Honestly, that should always be THE plan.
