"God is Great"
Good things may come to those who wait, but great things come to those willing to work hard and earn it. It's not just going to happen, and as much as we want it to happen overnight it doesn't always work that way. There will come a point though when you have waited, you have worked, and you feel like you have done all you can. Yet, you still don't feel like things are progressing. You simply are not where you want to be. So, then what? It's easy to say work harder. Easy to say move on. Even easier to just give up and settle. I remember years ago, mid career, trying to decide if moving again for the 6th time was the right thing to do. I honestly didn't know. I couldn't visualize what could happen. So, I decided to sit and pray, to really lay it down and stop letting it hold me so tight. Then I asked myself if I was really willing to put my decision in God's hands. Did I really believe He would guide me? I know that we say that we have faith. We pray that we can have it always, and we even try to convince ourselves sometimes that we do. Are we really allowing faith to lead the way? Not just sometimes, but all the time. Faith in our gifts, our support, in the path that can be. It's not easy to always be trusting in our prayers, in hope that this leap will be ok. What we forget is God is not answering prayers the way we want, but will always answer the way we need. Whatever the outcome through Him it will be the right outcome. The right one at His pace and His time. Not ours. The trials, the challenges, the successes, the joy and pain- All of it is part of letting His will be done. So yes, good, great, and all the beautiful blessings that come with it are exactly when and where they should be. In God's hands and in your faith to believe.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is to know and believe that God is great all the time. It is His Will to be done. Not ours. May you have faith in the day, the moment, in tomorrow yet to come.
