"Promise"
Every sunrise has promise, but it begins with a promise to ourselves. A promise to use our eyes to see the beauty in the new day. To see the potential in each moment. To see the lessons embedded in our experiences. A promise to use our ears to stay attentive so that we may hear the opportunities that knock as the day unfolds. To hear the requests from others needing a helping hand or a word of encouragement. To hear the cries for help that only are heard when we give our undivided attention to someone who needs us to listen. A promise to say the important things to those that matter so that we have no regrets. To say what is in our hearts. To say what is in our minds. To speak up, to speak out, to shout from the rooftops what we believe and why we believe it. A promise to feel with our heart and allow those emotions to be expressions of who we are. To allow ourselves to feel the emotions we must. To feel the joy, the pain, the laughter, the tears. To feel the importance of our influence. To feel the comfort of those around us wanting nothing more than to help us along the way. A promise to take in each and every moment that gives us reason to be, reason to know we are blessed, reason to take life in all its splendor and then share it. A promise to give thanks to God for He truly is great. A promise to appreciate the day He has made by living it with the blessings He has given us. A promise that with every sunset we have done our best to live out our dreams. Dreams that let us know that every sunrise has promise.
