"Spirit"
I read recently a quote from Steve Garnaas Homes that said, "The community needs your gifts, needs all of who you are. Not the pretend parts, the things you do to fit in, or to keep people from reacting. But the real you, Spirit alive in you in all her peculiar ways." The truth is that we often do not share our gifts for fear they won't be accepted. Sometimes people never get to experience the real you, because we may be doubtful that people will accept us. We suppress the real us, and in doing so are not allowing ourselves the opportunity to experience real relationships. Those relationships that allow both sides to be themselves, to have real emotions, to be vulnerable when needed, to share, care, love and be loved. Life is a gift. Your talents, your individuality, YOU are gifts. Let your spirit out. Let it shine. Let people see you, and you will find yourself surrounded by people who not only appreciate you for you, but you will be blessed to appreciate them back.
Believe in the Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is a reminder that who you are is who God intends you to be. We are all children of God.
