"What If"
You wonder sometimes about life. About what you may have missed because as you were searching for the meaning you forgot to actually make it mean something. What if? That's always the question isn't it? I mean truly what would it change if you did just a little less of " that"and more of "this". Even if just for one day. What if you decided that today you didn't need to watch tv, but instead watched a sunset? What if you put work down when you got home, and had time to play a little longer with your kids? What if you didn't post a status of what was, but worked on your status of what could be? What if you sat and reflected on your blessings, instead of what you're missing? What if you realized that just because prayers aren't answered as you envisioned doesn't mean they weren't answered as God intended. What if you quit missing your family and just took time to call, visit, pray with them? What if you removed the thought of "I can't" and just did it? What if you dreamed your dreams out loud, instead of hiding them? What if you took unbelievable chances to reach your goals, instead of limiting yourself? What if you refused to partake in negativity and instead became the silver lining in someone's day? What if you forgave instead of holding on to that grudge? What if you shared your story of adversity and inspired someone? Your story of repair rather than despair. It just may change someone's life. What if you didn't ever wonder what if? Instead you took your faith and God's unconditional love for you and did more of what you know you should be doing. The real you. The you that matters. Then you get to start the blessing of no longer wondering what if, but instead living in the moment of what now.
Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is simply a reminder from some of the wisest words I've ever read.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." -Marianne Williamson
