Another year has passed, but we still think of you as your influence on all of us never goes away. I wrote this last year, and couldn't write it any better. So, to you again we say Happy Heavenly Birthday. We love you.

Every moment with you mattered. At every party, each year, you would always say, "This might be my last one." We would laugh, because we never believed there would be a last one. So, we celebrate you to carry on your memory. We know you are always smiling down at us as we celebrate you with each poker game, each round of dominoes, every dance, and song that we do in your memory.
We think of you every day and we miss you. Like I said before your parties are some of our best memories. You brought us all together and watched us laugh. Those parties were for us and we knew it. Your food was the best. Moon and poker were even better. You never judged us. You loved us even harder when we misstepped. You taught us lessons. You gave us grace. You opened your home, your arms, and your world.
I give thanks to God for all the years he let us borrow you. I am comforted knowing you are in heaven with Grandma Connie, Grandpa Bob, and your "old lady" GMa Helen, and all our family. You told me once what you missed the most was her asking you about your day. There is comfort in knowing you get to spend all your days with her once again.
Never goodbye. We will see you again.
