They say there is a quiet before the storm, and often we don't notice that blessing until the storm hits. Reality is no matter how hard we try storms will hit. That is part of living life and experiencing the good and the learning moments of it all. I have come to learn that there is also a calm within the storm. That eye where we get to catch our breath. Sometimes it is big and sometimes it is subtle. It's hard to notice sometimes as it manifests itself in the form of a friend, a helping hand, a smile, a shoulder, comfort, help, encouragement and even frustration from others that push us to live up to our potential. Sometimes it is simply the quiet of prayer as we do our best to make sense of it all. Then there are the big moments where sometimes it takes losing the things we think we want so that we may find the things God knows we need. The only way out of that storm is through it, and through it is exactly where God, your faith, your strength, your family and friends will be. With you every step of the way. So, catch your breath if you are in that storm, gather your blessings and together let's get to the other side.
