Daily BITUB- “Adversity”

"Adversity"

Adversity is an inevitable part of life. Whether it's a personal setback, career challenge, or unexpected life event, how we handle adversity often defines our path forward. While no one seeks out hardship, facing adversity helps us grow and develop resilience that can help us in all parts of life. While often we look to avoid the issue I have learned to sit down, reflect and accept the reality. You can't deny where you are or what is happening in your world. You may want to, and even mask it for a while, but it is always there and often pops up when we least expect it, or when we least need it to. It's all about perspective. It tends to bring on the most negative emotions and qualities in us and others. While it is easier said than done we must look to focus on what we are learning from this phase in our life. What and why are we experiencing it? What can we take from it and make ourselves better? Then there is the part most of us miss. Be kind to yourself. Things won't get better overnight. It takes time. It's ok to not be ok. It's ok not to have it all figured out at this very moment. We all struggle and it is part of living life. Remember though that you are not alone. There are people right now leaning on you, and you must allow yourself the option of leaning on them. Sometimes it is nothing more than a phone call, a text, a moment to sit in silence, a squeeze of the hand, a shoulder to cry on. One of my favorite words this year has been resilience. When I thought I couldn't get up, couldn't move forward, couldn't fight anymore, I found something that reminded me of why I do it. Why we all do it. Why we must chase the dream, live life, and keep giving more than we take. Over time resilience builds up and we understand that we are the calm in the storm. We have the ability, the confidence, the will to grow with each new day, with each new set back, with every challenge. We realize that today we are that much more resilient then we were yesterday, and that tomorrow whatever shall come we will be ready to take that on as well.

Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is from 1 Corinthians 10:13.

"No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing He will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it."

Have a great day ahead everyone.
