"Accountability"
There have been times I have not taken accountability for my actions. I blamed everyone, but never stopped to think maybe I was the problem. It's hard sometimes to see it, but when you do that is the moment you can start to make changes necessary to rectify the issue, problem, or situation. After all, it is accountability that is the cornerstone of trust and integrity in any relationship or organization. It involves taking responsibility for your role in the actions, decisions, and their consequences, both positive and negative. I found that holding myself accountable helped me realize things I was overlooking. It empowered me to demonstrate a commitment to transparency, and I started realizing I was surrounding myself with people who felt they could be transparent too. If you feel like you are spiraling sometimes, pause and allow yourself to take control. Let yourself be accountable to where you are and start the process of getting to where you want to be. You, more than anyone, control and influence the outcome of your journey.
