"Birthday Reflections"
One could say that this past year was one of the hardest years of my life, but reflecting back it was actually one of the most blessed. I came face to face with myself, and though not easy at times I realized that God was lifting me up every step of the way. Every lesson, every experience, every person that I kept in my world, and those I let go mattered. I realized what true friendship meant. What it meant to forgive, to give and receive Grace, to love unconditionally, and to appreciate every single moment. As I reflect on another birthday, I feel a sense of gratitude wash over me. Each year brings its own set of challenges and triumphs, and this trip around the sun serves as a beautiful reminder of the journey I've traveled. I cherished the love and support from family and friends who filled my life with warmth, comfort and joy. I cherished the simple pleasures—a quiet moment with a cup of coffee, the challenge of a new career, the laughter shared with loved ones, the growth and successes of my kids, and the beauty of spending moments with my person as she fought and beat cancer. It all reminded me of the richness of life. This birthday is not just a celebration of the years gone by, but a hopeful embrace of the adventures yet to come. I am thankful for every lesson learned and every memory made, and I'm looking forward to what the next chapter will bring. As one of my dear friends likes to say, "Let's Go!!!"
