"Progression"
I used to really get frustrated with myself hitting the reset button. I would live in that old cliche, "One step forward and two steps back." I would think not only am I not moving forward, but I'm going backwards. It took me years to realize I wasn't going backwards, I was learning a better way to move forward. I may not have had the progression I was looking for, but despite the setback I still moved myself. There are many different ways to identify progress. It isn't always going to be as simple as moving from here to there. It may be in the way you approach a situation. It may be that you can approach something you couldn't before. It may be in your outlook of what is going on in your life. It may be in your attitude and how you are able to control your emotions when faced with adversity. It may be in the ability to overcome your fears to go beyond limitations that once prevented you from reaching your goals. It may be in how you challenge the day and your determination to be better than you were yesterday. It may be the way you appreciate a new day filled with opportunities. It may be in how you have begun to see God's blessings that are ever abundant in your life. Whatever it is, rest assured you have progressed. As often as we dwell on what is behind us we tend to focus on the negative, and thus we overlook all the good that helped us come this far. There are lessons, experiences and beautiful gifts from God. If we must look back let those be reminders of where we have been, and more importantly how blessed we are to be able to continue the journey to wherever we are willing to go.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
