“Friends”
I talked to a friend yesterday I have not talked to in years. Some friendships don’t need constant conversation to remain strong. Years can pass. Life gets busy. Families grow. Careers change. We move, we struggle, we celebrate, and sometimes we simply lose touch. But then there are those friends. The ones you haven’t talked to in years who somehow show up at exactly the right moment. No explanations needed. No guilt about the time that has passed. They just step back into your life, remind you who you are, and lift you up when you need it most.
That kind of friendship is a blessing.
It reminds me that true friendship isn’t measured by how often we talk. No, it’s measured by the love, respect, memories, and connection that remain even through the silence. Sometimes God puts people in our lives for a season, and sometimes He gives us people whose season never really ends. They may be miles away or years removed from our everyday lives, but when the moment comes, they are right there saying, “I’ve still got you.” And sometimes that is exactly what your heart needs to hear. So today, I’m grateful for the friends who have reached out, checked in, prayed, encouraged, made me laugh, reminded me of old memories, and simply lifted me up.
Time may create distance, but true friendship has a way of building bridges across the years.
Never underestimate the power of reaching out to an old friend. You may think you’re just saying hello when in reality, you may be giving them exactly the strength they needed that day. God has a beautiful way of reminding us that we were never meant to walk this life alone.
Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and mr prayer for you today is from Proverbs 17:17.
“A friend loves at all times.”
Have a great week ahead everyone.
