Daily BITUB- “Hope”

"Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier."- Colin Powell

Feeling like we are in a hopeless situation? There is no such thing. Hopelessness can only be if we allow ourselves to give up on our faith. Do you really believe that through God all is possible? Do you trust in your ability to persevere? Then how can anything be without hope? I get it. Things are not good. It's easy to be anxious, scared, hurt. There are so many questions of where we are and where we are headed. So much uncertainty. Even the strongest of faith can find themselves feeling completely defeated right now. I understand it happens because I've been in that place. I've been in that situation where I felt like there was nowhere to turn. I felt like I didn't want to live. I didn't care who that hurt. I didn't care about the aftermath of my actions. Yet somehow God reached me. Maybe it was my wife who wouldn't stop loving me. Maybe it was the memories of moments my parents refused to stop believing in me. Maybe it was just a feeling God had some plan for me. Though it was hard to see at first, I finally realized that things around me mattered, but it was me who refused to see it. It was me not paying attention to everything around me: the people, the support, the opportunities God was presenting me. I overlooked them, and in some cases abandoned them completely. I created that sense of hopelessness by giving up on the possibilities. That's happening to so many people right now. They see no end in site. They see no light. They don't realize their influence and power in moments like this. It's amazing once you sit and focus on the abundance of belief and blessings. All those hopeless feelings start to go away. You realize you can make a difference, be the difference, matter. Is it easy to do? No. Is it worth it? I believe it is. That realization brings light to those dark places. It's there we find resolve. The dead ends we thought we were at begin to reveal the bridges that we simply couldn't see before. Then the beauty of tomorrow takes shape and the promise of today provides the hope we've had all along. A hope that begins with us seeing what needs to be seen, hearing what must be heard, and no longer being idle, but acting on it together.

Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that we take a moment to pray for our country, our friends, our family, and everyone who needs prayer. There is hope for a better tomorrow and that hope starts with our faith in God and a trust in His everlasting light.

Have a blessed, healthy and safe day.
