I read once that as you grow older you start to realize the difference between those who truly love you and those that care only when they need something. That struck a chord with me. It's hard to differentiate between those type of people, until you run across them. Even harder as a leader and someone who lives life with a servant heart mentality. It's hard to say no, even when you know you may not get reciprocated help. Still we shouldn't hesitate to offer a helping heart when we know we can influence the outcome. At the end of the day my goal is to help, serve, and be there for everyone. However, my revelation over the past few years is that we must not neglect those dearest to us in the process. We mustn't neglect ourselves either. That's not selfish thinking. I used to think it was. It's understanding that you can't be there for everyone all the time, but you must do all you can to be there for those closest to you that need you to be there. Sometimes it means saying no. Sometimes that means taking care of yourself first so you can be. Not just physically, but spiritually and mentally too. You are no good to anyone if you aren't right with yourself. You are no good if you are stretched so much you give a little of yourself to many things instead of all of you to a few. We are all blessed to have the opportunity to provide what we can to those in need. Just be sure you aren't forgetting how important it is to fulfill the needs of those you live for so that your heart is full enough to provide for those you are blessed to live with.
Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you embrace the moments to better yourself so that you may have the strength, wisdom, and experience to be there for others if you are called to do so.
Have a blessed, safe, and healthy week everyone.
