Daily BITUB- “Notice”

We not only need to be accountable to the things we do,  but also to the things we don't do. A few days ago I was walking past someone and noticed they were crying. I took a moment to ask them if they were ok. That turned into a 30 minute conversation of complete silence on my part, listening to something that clearly needed to be said out loud. It ended in a sigh of relief and a simple "Thank you". I don't say that to say go me, but rather to remind us of our influence in moments that we are aware of. We won't always be, because sadly we live in a world where many people hold back feelings and emotions for fear they will be looked down upon. I know, because I do it often. However, there are those moments I don't hold back and I've been blessed to have someone there to comfort me, guide me, and listen to me. Some people don't have that, but they need it somedays. They need someone to notice, to care, to understand, to sit in silence and listen. You don't have to have a solution to the issue, your listening may be the solution. I think often how many people sit in silence praying for a blessing, for a sign, for God's help. I think how often an act of kindness, of encouragement, of attention may be the exact answer to that prayer. I have said often, we must trust that sometimes we are exactly in the place we are supposed to be at the exact moment we are supposed to be there. We just have to have the courage to be there, and notice.

Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is that you be aware of your surroundings. The people that may need you to be an answered prayer and the ones God puts in your path to answer yours.

Have a blessed, safe, and healthy week everyone.
