"Say it"
What if you had the opportunity to sit with all those that matter to you and share your personal statement? What would you say? Who would be in that room? There would probably be stories about memories you shared together. Maybe about feelings you've felt- Frustrations, happy times, sad times, growth, fears. Maybe you would talk about what is next for you and what role they will play in it. There will inevitably be people missing in that room that have passed on you wish could be there. You'll talk about their influences on you. You might mention the times you hoped to be a positive influence on them, and the times you know you weren't. Times you let pride, bad judgment, emotions lead you rather than leading with faith, hope and love. Whatever it is, I encourage you to say it.
End of the day we should have these conversations. We shouldn't wait. We shouldn't think we will do it tomorrow. We shouldn't waste the opportunities to tell those around us what they mean to us. We shouldn't hold back what we feel and why we feel it. We shouldn't avoid sharing our dreams, our goals, and our purpose. Pay a visit, make a call, send a note. It will matter and you will be happy that you did.
