"Fear"
I can tell you that I've experienced many things in my lifetime that scared me. Not the movie, jump scare type of scared, but a deep fear that I wasn't enough. Fear that I couldn't deliver on a promise, that I couldn't meet the expectation, that I'd let myself and others down. Overcoming your fears is sometimes easier said than done. Yet, we have the ability to find it within to overcome anything. It's a transformative journey that begins with acknowledgment. We have to recognize what frightens us, and understand that fear is a natural response. I love to speak at events, officiate weddings, and pump up a crowd, but I'm always afraid, nervous, and anxious. I tell people that when I stop feeling that it would be time to stop, because maybe it doesn't matter as much anymore to do what was asked of me. So, when I feel that, instead of avoiding it, I simply confront it- Embrace it even. I attack those fears by breaking them down into smaller, manageable parts. I take gradual steps toward facing them, allowing myself to feel discomfort without letting it control me. I look around and see the support, and surround myself with encouragement from friends, family, and mentors who provide me a sense of comfort. At the end of the day practice self-compassion, remind yourself that everyone experiences fear. With each small victory your confidence will grow, and what once seemed daunting can become a source of strength. Embrace the challenge, and you'll discover that overcoming fear opens doors to new opportunities and continued personal growth.
Believe in the Unbelievable and my prayer for you today is from Isaiah 41:10.
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Have a great day ahead everyone.
