“Serve”
Lately there has been a lot going on. Busy times, trying times, sleepless nights, but God continues to put things in our path to remind us there is always someone who has a greater need. Sometimes the greatest act of strength is serving someone else while you’re still fighting your own battles. It’s easy to give when our cup is overflowing. It’s easy to encourage when everything in our own life is going well. But there is something incredibly powerful about choosing to serve others even when we could use a little help ourselves. That doesn’t mean ignoring our own needs or pretending we’re okay when we’re not. Asking for help is important, too. We were never meant to carry everything alone. But I’ve learned that even in our difficult seasons, we still have something to give. Maybe it’s a phone call. A prayer. A listening ear. A few words of encouragement. A hug. A meal. Or simply reminding someone, “You don’t have to walk through this alone. Sometimes, while we’re busy being a blessing to someone else, God reminds us that we are still blessed, still needed, and still capable of making a difference. We don’t have to have everything figured out before we can help somebody else. We don’t have to be standing on top of the mountain before we reach back and grab another person’s hand. In fact, sometimes the person who understands the struggle best is the one still climbing. So serve when you can. Love when you can. Encourage when you can. Pray for others while asking them to pray for you. Because life was never meant to be about “What can you do for me?” It’s about “What can we do for each other?” We all need it sometimes, and we can all be the help sometimes. That’s how we get through this life… together.
Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer for you today is from the words Jesus gave us.
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” — Mark 10:45
Have a great day ahead everyone.
