Daily BITUB- “Talk a little longer.”

I read an old saying, "Better one word in time than two afterward." How often do we want to say something, but we hold back. We miss the opportunity to impact the moment and then we often long to get it back. The moment isn't the same. The circumstances may have changed. I once asked my Gpa what he missed most about my Grandma. He said he would come home every day from work, she would be at the door and ask him how his day was. They would sit and have a cup of coffee and he would tell her all about it. He said he wished he could have one more time to tell her about his day face to face. That if he had known that was the last time he would have talked a little longer. We all have regrets about the "would of" and "could of" times we rushed off, ignored, blew off someone. Thing is you can't change that. You can't rewind it. What you can do is start saying what you feel. Start sharing your feelings, your dreams, your passions. Tell people what's on your mind and in your heart. It may just motivate them to do the same. It may be the words they have been praying for. It may be exactly what they needed to hear in that moment, and that is why God put you in their path. Life is busy. It's so fast paced. It has become a text, a post, a comment. It makes us overlook things. I know today that if I could get one more call with my Gpa I wouldn't let him off the phone so quickly. So, don't take for granted the opportunities to stay up a little later and share stories, to answer that phone call instead of text, to take the trips to see family, to experience things with those that matter most to you... To talk a little longer.

Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU and my prayer today is that you pause enough to cherish your moments. That you give thanks for the relationships you have had, and take notice of the ones you still do. That when you are praying today that you don't be so quick to ask God for what you want. You talk a little longer and thank Him for giving you all the things you need.

Have a blessed, safe, and healthy day everyone.
