"Pay Attention"
I know we are all running 100 miles an hour. We pass each other in the store, we sometimes don't even look up from our phones sitting in a waiting room, we have heads down as people are crossing our paths. It's funny how life does that to us. We are so busy creating a life we forget how to live. We want so much to know what's going on with others via social media we forget the beauty of talking to those right in front of us. We stop appreciating the little things because we are in constant search of this big moment. We keep praying for God to show us something, but we aren't paying attention. There are moments right here and now. The prayers we pray are being answered, but maybe not as we envisioned. So, we overlook them. It's not easy, but it's ok to slow it down for a minute. To breathe, to focus, to appreciate. Today take a little time to see what is happening all around you. Really look at the people you get to share life with. Notice them. If you see something special, wonderful, extraordinary in someone tell them. Be blessed to take in the beauty of successes, the strength of people overcoming their obstacles, the realization of a dream, the excitement as someone reaches a peak. There is so much good, so much to see, so many prayers getting answered, but we have to be willing to notice. We have to be willing to take it, give thanks for it all, pay attention, and make our moments matter.
