Daily BITUB- “Faith In The Moment”

“Faith In The Moment”

I’ve been thinking a lot about faith lately. Not the kind of faith we talk about after everything works out. Not the faith that comes when the prayer has been answered, the storm has passed, and we can finally look back and say, “Now I understand what God was doing.” I’m talking about faith right in the middle of it. Because if I’m being truthful, there are moments when I’m tired. Moments when I don’t understand what God is doing. Moments when I’ve prayed and prayed and still don’t have the answers I want. There are days when I feel strong and ready to fight, and there are days when simply putting one foot in front of the other feels like a victory. And that’s where I’m learning what faith really means.

It means I don’t have to understand today to trust God today. I don’t have to see the ending to believe He is already there. I don’t have to wait until everything gets better to thank Him for walking beside me.

I need faith NOW.

Right here.

In the uncertainty.
In the waiting.
In the exhaustion.
In the unanswered prayers.
In the moments when fear tries to speak louder than my faith.

I’ve spent enough of my life looking backward and realizing, “God was with me the whole time.” Now I’m trying to recognize it while I’m living it. Maybe someday I’ll look back at this season and understand why certain things happened. Maybe I’ll see blessings that I simply can’t see today. But I don’t want to wait until “someday” to believe.

So today my prayer is simple:

God, I don’t know what tomorrow holds. I don’t understand everything happening today. I’m tired, and some days this journey is harder than I want anyone to know. But I still trust You.

Not because I know the outcome.

Not because everything is okay.

Not because I have all the answers.

Simply because You are God.

Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

That word NOW means more to me than ever. My faith cannot only exist after the miracle. My faith has to live in the moment before the miracle comes.

So I’ll keep praying.
I’ll keep believing.
I’ll keep loving my family and friends.
I’ll keep appreciating the little moments.
And when I’m tired, I’ll keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I may not know what God is doing…but I know who is walking with me. And for today, that is enough.

Daily BITUB- “Serve”

“Serve”

Lately there has been a lot going on. Busy times, trying times, sleepless nights, but God continues to put things in our path to remind us there is always someone who has a greater need. Sometimes the greatest act of strength is serving someone else while you’re still fighting your own battles. It’s easy to give when our cup is overflowing. It’s easy to encourage when everything in our own life is going well. But there is something incredibly powerful about choosing to serve others even when we could use a little help ourselves. That doesn’t mean ignoring our own needs or pretending we’re okay when we’re not. Asking for help is important, too. We were never meant to carry everything alone. But I’ve learned that even in our difficult seasons, we still have something to give. Maybe it’s a phone call. A prayer. A listening ear. A few words of encouragement. A hug. A meal. Or simply reminding someone, “You don’t have to walk through this alone. Sometimes, while we’re busy being a blessing to someone else, God reminds us that we are still blessed, still needed, and still capable of making a difference. We don’t have to have everything figured out before we can help somebody else. We don’t have to be standing on top of the mountain before we reach back and grab another person’s hand. In fact, sometimes the person who understands the struggle best is the one still climbing. So serve when you can. Love when you can. Encourage when you can. Pray for others while asking them to pray for you. Because life was never meant to be about “What can you do for me?” It’s about “What can we do for each other?” We all need it sometimes, and we can all be the help sometimes. That’s how we get through this life… together.

Daily BITUB- “Today”

“Today”

Sometimes the hardest place to live is right here, right now. Our minds have a way of pulling us backward replaying conversations, mistakes, regrets, losses, and all the “what if I had…” moments. Then, just as quickly, we get pulled forward worrying about tomorrow, trying to predict outcomes, preparing for problems that haven’t even happened yet. But somewhere between regretting yesterday and worrying about tomorrow, we miss the gift of today. I’m learning that the only way I can truly be present in the moment is to put down a past I can’t change. The past has already been written. I can learn from it. I can grow from it. I can even be grateful for what it taught me. But I cannot go back and rewrite it.

And the future? That belongs to God.

I can plan. I can prepare. I can pray. I can work hard. But ultimately, I have to trust that the same God who carried me through yesterday is already waiting for me in tomorrow. So, let us fully live the beautiful, imperfect, precious moments we have been given and embrace the blessing of being able to live it today.

Daily BITUB- “Help”

“Help”

There is strength in saying, “I need help.” Sometimes our pride tells us we should be able to handle everything on our own. Other times, fear convinces us that asking for help will make us look weak, vulnerable, or like we’ve failed. But I’m learning that asking for help isn’t weakness. It takes courage. We were never meant to carry every burden alone. God places people in our lives for a reason… to encourage us, pray with us, stand beside us, and sometimes simply help carry the weight when ours becomes too heavy. That means sometimes we are the ones doing the carrying…and sometimes we have to be willing to let someone carry us.

Don’t let pride keep you silent.
Don’t let fear keep you isolated.
Don’t convince yourself that you have to have it all together.

There is no shame in saying, “I’m struggling.” There is no weakness in saying, “I can’t do this by myself.” And there is incredible courage in reaching out your hand and saying, “Can you help me?” I’ve always believed in being strong for others, but I’m learning that real strength also means allowing others to be strong for me. We need each other. We were designed that way. So when life gets heavy, pray. Give it to God. But also remember that sometimes God answers our prayers through the people He places around us.

Never be too proud to ask.
Never be too afraid to reach out.
And when someone reaches out to you…grab their hand and don’t let go.

Daily BITUB- “The Small Things”

“The Small Things”

Sometimes the greatest blessings in life aren’t the big, unforgettable moments. They’re the little things we almost forget to notice. The morning cup of coffee. A familiar voice on the phone. A hug that lasts a few seconds longer. Laughing with someone you love. A quiet drive home. Sitting around the table with family. A sunset you almost didn’t stop to watch. Simply waking up and being given another day. We spend so much of our lives looking ahead waiting for the next accomplishment, the next opportunity, the next big thing, the next answered prayer that sometimes we miss the blessings God has already placed right in front of us. Life has taught me that nothing should be taken for granted. I’ve forgotten that lately. Thing is, people change. Seasons change. Circumstances change. And sometimes the ordinary moments we barely notice today become the memories we would give anything to experience one more time.

So slow down.

Say “I love you.” Make the phone call. Give the hug. Take the picture. Laugh until your stomach hurts. Don’t take yourself so serious. Sit a little longer at the table.Watch the sunset. Thank God for the people beside you and the breath in your lungs. You don’t need a perfect life to have a blessed life. Sometimes you just need to recognize how much you already have. Today, I’m choosing to appreciate the little things, because I’m realizing more and more the little things were never really little at all. Be present. Be grateful. Love deeply. And never take today for granted.

Daily BITUB- “Friends”

“Friends”

I talked to a friend yesterday I have not talked to in years. Some friendships don’t need constant conversation to remain strong. Years can pass. Life gets busy. Families grow. Careers change. We move, we struggle, we celebrate, and sometimes we simply lose touch. But then there are those friends. The ones you haven’t talked to in years who somehow show up at exactly the right moment. No explanations needed. No guilt about the time that has passed. They just step back into your life, remind you who you are, and lift you up when you need it most.

That kind of friendship is a blessing.

It reminds me that true friendship isn’t measured by how often we talk. No, it’s measured by the love, respect, memories, and connection that remain even through the silence. Sometimes God puts people in our lives for a season, and sometimes He gives us people whose season never really ends. They may be miles away or years removed from our everyday lives, but when the moment comes, they are right there saying, “I’ve still got you.” And sometimes that is exactly what your heart needs to hear. So today, I’m grateful for the friends who have reached out, checked in, prayed, encouraged, made me laugh, reminded me of old memories, and simply lifted me up.

Time may create distance, but true friendship has a way of building bridges across the years.

Never underestimate the power of reaching out to an old friend. You may think you’re just saying hello when in reality, you may be giving them exactly the strength they needed that day. God has a beautiful way of reminding us that we were never meant to walk this life alone.

“Prayer Warriors Assemble”

Yesterday I was looking at my wife’s post about our next chapter and realized that life has taken our family on quite a journey. We have been blessed to call six different states home over the years. Six states! Different communities. Different seasons of life. So many things. And along the way, God placed some incredible people in our path. At the time, we may not have understood why certain friendships were formed or why our journey took us from one place to another. But today, in a season when we need prayer more than ever, I think I understand a little better. Across those six states there are people praying for us. Willing to help us. Willing to drop their life to help ours. Friends from different chapters of our lives. People we worked with, worshiped with, laughed with, cried with, served alongside, and simply did life with. Some we haven’t seen in years, yet when they heard we needed prayer, they immediately went to battle for us.

Prayer warriors assembling from across the country (and India/Jamaica) are standing in the gap for our family.

How do you even begin to say thank you for something like that? We are humbled. We are blessed. And we are incredibly grateful. There are moments in life when you realize that the relationships God allowed you to build weren’t just for that particular season. Some people were placed in your life because one day you would need them standing beside you… or kneeling in prayer for you. Right now, we feel surrounded by an army of people lifting our family before God. And while we may not know exactly what tomorrow holds, we know Who holds tomorrow. 

Twenty five years ago during a very difficult time for me my mom gave me a print out with the verse about the full armor of God, along with a beautiful wood plaque that represented it. It helped. It mattered. 

So today, our family, we put on the full armor of God. 

The belt of truth.
The breastplate of righteousness.
The gospel of peace.
The shield of faith.
The helmet of salvation.
And the sword of the Spirit.

And we stand.

We stand in faith.
We stand in hope.
We stand together.

And when we get tired, we know there are prayer warriors across multiple states helping hold us up. To every person who has called, texted, checked on us, loved on us, and most importantly prayed for us—THANK YOU. Please keep those prayers coming. They mean more than you will ever know. Six states. Countless relationships. One incredible army of prayer warriors assembling. And one Almighty God who has been faithful through every chapter.

We are blessed.
We are grateful.
We are armored up.

We are trusting God every step of the way. And as I have said for years… 

Believe In The Unbelievable that is YOU! 
But today, I would add one more thing: 
Believe in the Unbelievable things GOD can do. 

Keep the faith. God is not finished with our story. 

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:11

Daily BITUB- “Surrender”

“Surrender”

I will say we have a lot going on in our world here with The Carrizales Crew, and I tend to overthink it. I want to control an outcome I have no control over. That’s when you realize the hardest thing God asks us to do isn’t to fight harder…it’s to let go. We pray about it. We worry about it. We lose sleep over it. We replay every possible outcome in our minds, trying to figure out what we should do next. And somewhere in the middle of all that noise, God quietly reminds us: “Give it to Me.” That doesn’t mean we stop caring. It doesn’t mean we stop working, praying, doing our part, or believing. It means we finally recognize that some things were never ours to control in the first place. There comes a moment when faith has to become more than something we talk about. Faith becomes saying: “God, I’ve done what I can. I don’t know what happens next. I don’t understand the timing. I can’t see around the corner…but I TRUST YOU.” That is surrender. And surrender isn’t weakness. Sometimes surrender is the strongest thing we can do. I’m learning that when I put something in God’s hands, I have to stop reaching back and taking it out every time fear and anxiety shows up. Pray about it. Give it to God. Leave it there, and as I said, keep doing your part. Trust that He is working in places you cannot see. Trust that a closed door may be protection.Trust that a delay may be preparation.Trust that a disappointment may be redirection.Trust that His plan is bigger than the moment you’re standing in right now. Today, whatever is weighing heavy on your heart…give it to Him.

God, it’s in Your hands now.

I may not know the outcome, but I know the One holding it. And that is enough. Keep the faith. Keep moving forward. And never stop believing.

"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act."

Daily BITUB- “Help Others”

“Help Others”

Some of the greatest blessings in life don’t come from what we receive they come from what we give. Helping others isn’t always about grand gestures. Sometimes it’s a phone call to someone who’s struggling. Sometimes it’s listening without judgment. Sometimes it’s sharing your time, your wisdom, your encouragement, or simply reminding someone they matter. I’ve learned that every person is carrying a burden we may never see. A smile, a kind word, or a moment of compassion can change the course of someone’s day, and maybe even their life. The beautiful thing about serving others is that it has a way of transforming us too. It softens our hearts, strengthens our faith, and reminds us that our purpose is so much bigger than ourselves. We were never meant to walk this journey alone. We were created to lift one another up, especially when the road gets difficult. Today, look for someone who could use a little hope. Offer your hand. Share your kindness. You may never fully know the impact of your compassion, but today you may be the blessing someone needs.

Daily BITUB- “Do not Fear”

“Do not Fear”

Fear has a way of convincing us that we’re not ready, not strong enough, or not capable of becoming who we’re meant to be. It whispers that failure is certain, that change is too risky, and that staying comfortable is the safest choice. But what if fear isn’t a stop sign? What if it’s simply standing at the doorway of the very life God is calling you to live? I’ve learned that courage isn’t the absence of fear. Courage is taking the next step even while your knees are shaking. It’s choosing faith over doubt, hope over worry, and purpose over comfort. Every meaningful chapter in our lives requires us to walk through uncertainty before we experience the blessing waiting on the other side. Today, choose one thing you’ve been afraid to do. Make the call. Take the step. Forgive. Apply for the job. Start the business. Share your story. Tell someone you love them. Pray the prayer you’ve been holding back. Fear may walk beside you, but it doesn’t have to lead you. Walk boldly. Trust completely. And remember, the greatest miracles often begin just beyond the place where fear tells us to stop.

Daily BITUB- “Live”

“Live”

Life deserves all of you. Not just the version of you that’s rested, confident, and winning. It deserves the version that’s tired but still showing up. The version that’s been disappointed but still believes. The version that’s been knocked down but chooses to stand one more time. Too often we hold something back. We wait for the “perfect” moment, the “right” opportunity, or until we feel ready. But life isn’t asking for perfection. It asks for presence. It asks us to love deeply, forgive freely, work passionately, serve humbly, and dream boldly. There will be days when you feel like you have nothing left to give. Give your faith. Give your hope. Give your gratitude. Sometimes the smallest step forward takes the greatest courage. When your time on this earth is over, don’t let your greatest regrets be the dreams you never chased, the words you never spoke, or the love you never shared. Empty your heart of every act of kindness, every ounce of compassion, every gift God placed within you. Give life all of you. Not because every day will be easy, but because every day is a gift. And when you choose to live with purpose, faith, and gratitude, you discover that God can do extraordinary things through an ordinary person who refuses to hold back.

Daily BITUB- “Growth”

“Growth”

There are very loud, profound, and clear moments of growth. Though I have started to realize how subtle and quiet growth can be too. I see it in how people once reacted and how they do now. I see it in myself (still a lot of growing to do). I see it in moments I have chosen peace over proving a point. In the way we begin to understand what we once judged. Real growth teaches us that not everyone is fighting the same battle, carrying the same burdens, or walking the same path. Understanding doesn’t mean you agree with everyone… It means you’ve learned to lead with compassion before criticism, and grace before assumptions. Thing is wisdom isn’t measured by how much we know, but by how willing we are to keep learning. Every challenge teaches us something. Every conversation has the potential to broaden our perspective. Every setback can become a stepping stone if we’re willing to listen, reflect, and grow. God often grows us through experiences we never would have chosen. He uses the difficult seasons to soften our hearts, strengthen our faith, and deepen our understanding of others. Sometimes the greatest blessing isn’t that the situation changed… It’s that we did.

“New Beginnings”

There comes a moment in life when you realize that new beginnings aren’t reserved for the new year, birthdays, or major milestones. Sometimes they begin the moment you decide to stop carrying what no longer serves you. A new beginning is choosing faith over fear. It’s replacing regret with gratitude. It’s forgiving yourself for yesterday so you can fully embrace today. It’s believing that God isn’t finished writing your story, even when you’ve been through chapters you never wanted to read. I’ve learned that every setback has the potential to become the foundation for something greater. Every closed door makes room for the one God intended for you all along. Every scar is a reminder that you survived, grew, and became stronger than you ever imagined. You don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t have to know every step. You simply have to take the next one with courage and trust that God will meet you there. If today feels like a fresh start, embrace it. If today feels like the hardest day of your life, embrace it anyway. New beginnings often look like uncertainty before they become blessings. So let go of the weight you’ve been carrying. Open your heart to new opportunities. Because sometimes the greatest miracle isn’t that life changes around you… It’s that God changes something within you.

“Patience”

Patience has never meant sitting still. It has always meant continuing to move forward, even when the results haven’t caught up to the effort. Some of the greatest blessings in my life didn’t arrive when I wanted them to. They came when I had grown into the person who was ready to receive them. Looking back, every delay taught me something. Every closed door redirected me. Every season of waiting strengthened my faith, my character, and my appreciation for what was still to come. It wasn’t easy. We live in a world that celebrates instant success, but God often works in the quiet moments. He works in the waiting, the trusting, and the unseen. That’s where perseverance is built. That’s where hope takes deeper roots. That’s where we learn that our timing and God’s timing are rarely the same… And that’s a good thing. If you’re waiting on an answer, a breakthrough, healing, a new opportunity, or simply peace, don’t mistake the silence for absence. God is still working, even when you can’t see it. Keep believing. Keep growing. Keep praying. Your story isn’t on pause… It’s being prepared.

Daily BITUB- “Relationships”

“Relationships”

Family matters, and you know what? I know a lot of people trying to get by. I know people with cancer, depression, hurt, fear, and loneliness. I know people who on social media look perfect, but are struggling. I talk to a lot of people who just need an ear. They just need a moment. Truth is I have a lot of family. Some are related to me, and many that aren’t, are still my brothers and sisters. The closest families aren’t held together by blood alone. They’re strengthened by time, grace, forgiveness, and showing up for one another. The deepest friendships aren’t measured by how often we talk, but by how intentionally we love, encourage, and stand beside each other through every situation and every part of our lives. Intentional relationships don’t happen by accident. They require us to let our guard down, look people in the eye, ask how they’re really doing, celebrate them, carry their burdens, and choose people over convenience. I’ve been blessed to carry many positions. As a leader in business, as a dad, as a husband, and as a friend. I’ll tell you in business, be the leader who genuinely cares. In your family, and with friends, be present more than you’re perfect. In your marriage love like there is no tomorrow, and always kiss good night, and good morning. In your relationships make the call, send the text, plan the dinner, and never assume they’ll always know how much they matter. Life moves fast, and tomorrow is never promised. The relationships we nurture today becomes the legacy we leave behind tomorrow. God created us to live in community, not isolation. Every meaningful relationship is an opportunity to reflect His love through kindness, patience, humility, and service. Today, be intentional. Love a little harder. Listen a little longer. Forgive a little quicker. Serve a little more. Because at the end of this journey, people won’t remember everything you accomplished…They will remember how you made them feel and how faithfully you walked beside them.

Daily BITUB- “Today”

“Today”

There comes a point in life when you stop counting the things you wish you had and start cherishing the things you’ve been blessed to keep. I’ve come to realize life is better measured by the people we’ve loved, the lives we’ve touched, the battles we’ve survived, and the grace God has poured over us through it all. I’ve experienced seasons that tested my faith, challenged my heart, and left me wondering what tomorrow would bring. I’ve celebrated incredible victories, and I’ve walked through moments that brought me to my knees. Yet through every valley and every mountaintop, one truth has remained… God has never left my side. Looking back, I don’t just see the blessings I prayed for. I see the prayers God answered in ways I didn’t understand at the time. I see His protection in the closed doors, His purpose in the delays, and His love in the people He placed beside me when I needed them most. Life is so incredibly fragile. We spend too much time worrying about what we don’t have and not enough time embracing what we do. The laughter from the other room from friends and family. A phone call from a friend. Watching your children grow into who they’re meant to be. Holding the hand of the person you love. The opportunity to wake up and try again. Those aren’t ordinary moments…They’re beautiful blessings we often overlook. So today, I’m choosing gratitude. I’m choosing to slow down long enough to appreciate this beautiful life God has entrusted to me. I’m choosing to love harder, forgive faster, laugh louder, and serve others with everything He’s given me. Because one day we’ll all wish for just one more sunrise, one more conversation, one more hug, one more chance to say, “I love you.” Don’t wait for that day. Live today with a grateful heart. Love without reservation. Trust God without hesitation. And never underestimate the extraordinary gift of simply being able to be present, to love and live today.
